Just refreshing my offer, I would be happy to co-ordinate shipping in the UK.

CBJ said 52cartes will help us get this deck but i dont know the shipping cost

How the hell did I miss that post...?  I'm really gettin' old...

Alright 52Cartes is in!

Just need to know how many decks.
And someone in the states will have to coordinate the dispersing of the decks.

The decks are 7.50 Euro.

If you commit to getting a deck, don't back out.

Let me know

Jay

Put me down for two decks.  If you need someone to coordinate US shipments, I can handle that - living in New York has the advantage of getting distant shipments faster than most smaller cities or rural towns.

Gang, bear in mind the total commitment: 7.50 euro per deck, plus shipment from vendor to 52cartes, plus shipment from 52cartes to someone in the US, then a third shipment from that someone in the US to you.  Payments will need to be made in each step of the process.

Jay, it is possible to split 52cartes' shipment so the Brits don't have to deal with an unnecessary bump in costs?  Who's buying from the UK?  Who among the UK buyers would be up for acting as UK shipping coordinator?

I am interested but I have a couple of questions. Is it likely they will reprint these? Did one of the ebay sellers have an orange back reprinted?

Also is there a guess as to what the price will be with shipping? I know since there will be multiple stops it'll be higher, so even a ballpark guess would help. Thanks!

There was an orange rider back printed, I believe produced by Vincent Di Fatta? Similar situation however I think the run was higher as they seem to still kick around.

I am guessing 10 (1 deck, 1 shipping fee) euros to 52 cartes as shipping. Then another few  Euros for him to send to country distributer. Then a few more to your house. All in all, I am estimating 13 euros, £11, or $15 euros to your country, then whatever from there to your house.

okay so us US buyers are looking at roughly 20ish dollars for one deck plus shipping and then add another 10 bucks for each deck. That's what I calculated roughly from the information Haz gave me.

so here are rough estimates of prices (includes S&H)

1 deck - $20
2 decks - $30
3 decks - $40
etc...

That seems about right, might be a bit steep (I was trying to estimate worst case scenario)

Yeah it gives a good picture of what the price range should be though. Is there a deadline to decide if you want to purchase any? I just found the thread and I wanted to think it over.

Of the "color" Rider Back decks, there were three producers: the Bond Agency (maroon/burgundy and yellow), BMPokerWorld (brown) and DiFatta (all the rest).  Of all the re-released "Standard" deck box versions, all that I've seen done far is DiFatta's decks.  I emailed BMPokerWorld, and they stated there will be no Standard version of the brown.  None of these are being re-released in the "classic" Rider Back box.

Shipping will depend on method.  If I'm going to be the shipping coordinator, I could pass it off as printed matter, or perhaps First Class.  I usually prefer Priority Mail Flat Rate, and for small orders like this I can probably use either the plain envelope or the padded envelope.  The padded is $5.30 to anywhere in the US, the plain is 15 cents less.

If I'm shipping to Canada, either Priority Mail envelope would cost $12.95.

Bear in mind that I can comfortably ship up to nine decks in a single padded envelope, domestic or international, without breaking any weight limitations.  I'm open to working out trade deals to ship you more decks for the same cost.  I have a fair amount of trade goods, some rare, most not-so-rare but still limited, plus I can buy current decks either online or at a magic shop in Midtown.  I also have access to local shops that stock Streamline, Stud and Tally Ho, and maybe a WSOP two-pack (paper, not tourney-made plastic!) or Bike Pro PokerPeeks.

I nearly forgot - if you need to pad out your collection of Rider Back colors, Tannen's carries DiFatta's "Bicycle Color Collection".  For $85, you get nine Bicycle decks (Gold, Silver, Black, Red, Blue, Orange, Green, Fuchsia, Turquoise) and two professional close-up pads (1 black and 1 red).  Of DiFatta's decks, they pack Standards if they're in print, Classics if there isn't a Standard version.  Black is USPC Ohio-made, no Standard version is out yet.  It's a nice package and I could squeeze it all into a single envelope if I got a little creative - the close-up pads would make great added padding.

Just to keep the uk buyers up to date, if I co-ordinate shipping here it's likely that shipping from me will be £2 for 1-2 decks, £2.50 3-4 decks, and £3 for 5-6 decks.

Hey guys.. sorry it took me so long to get back to you, been a little busy.

I will read through this thread later today, and then post a list of who wants these decks.

I'll get 52Cartes to call and make sure they have that quantity available, and if someone from the UK can order directly (that would save them quite a bit)

Don, thanks in advance for the redistribution of decks.

As for shipping.. as it stands there is no way to get firm numbers because of the different routes these packages will have to take.  So, if an extra few dollars will be the deal breaker for you on these decks, you're just going to have to pass.

Remember... if you're in, you're in.  Don't back out and leave someone hanging with the costs.

I'll post later today.

I'm thinking based on what they told me that they only sell domestically.  Don't suppose you're up for a trip in the Chunnel?

No sweat, Jay.  If it wasn't for the initial post here, I wouldn't have been in on the action in the first place!  But I guess that's true for all of us, eh?

I figured that was the game plan from the beginning.  Just waiting to hear from Jay as far as final price per deck.  Some payments will need to come my way for domestic shipping.  If I ship them out Priority Mail, padded flat-rate envelope, it's about $6 - is everyone OK with that?

Brown_baggs you need to decide.  I have no idea how much shipping will be till I have finalized numbers...

Here's who wants these decks.. please confirm

2 - Anep21
2 - Don Boyer
1 - NathanCanadas

& 1 for hazofhorsham ( not sure if you are ordering direct or with this group )

so it's looking like 5-8 decks. Let's get it all confirmed, and then I'll get 52Cartes to order them

@CBJ - just wondering, would this cost more than 15$ with shipping (approximately)? Because I would be willing to spend up to 25$ with shipping but no more.

Sorry about that CBJ. I wasn't trying to be fickle or anything. I was just trying to get a ballpark price, but I understand with the situation that you need to be in it for whatever price on not be in it at all. I won't be joining in on this purchase. Hope it works out well for you all though!

An envelope holds nine decks comfortably, though I could put in a few extras a little less comfortably.  I'm getting two decks.  Please try combining the posts into a single post next time instead of making two consecutive ones.

OK, here's what I can tell you as far as possible cost.

The deck itself is 7.50 euros.  Nearly $10, probably closer to $11 after tax.  Assuming 3.3 ounces, 8 decks with packing would be about 2 lbs. - a little shy of a kilogram.

Normal postal rate within France for a one kilo parcel is about 8 euro, so about $11 - divided by number of decks, that's roughly $1.50 each.  We're up to about $12.50 a pack.

To send the decks from France to the US would be $21 with tracking, $16 without (and slower).  Assuming we take the faster route, that's about $2.65 a deck.  Now we're at $15.15 each.

I planned on shipping via Priority Mail - $6 to any US destination, flat rate envelope.  If it fits, it ships.

Final estimate - and this is strictly a ballpark figure:
$21.15 for one deck.
$18.15 each for two decks.
$16.65 each for four decks.

Again, all ballpark estimates.  I seriously doubt it would exceed $25 a pack with shipping, and buying more will cost less per deck.  If you wanted something like Tally Ho decks tossed into you envelope (which holds up to nine decks), a local shop sells them for $3 a pack and the shipping wouldn't increase until you went a bit more than nine packs total.
