I am interested but I have a couple of questions. Is it likely they will reprint these? Did one of the ebay sellers have an orange back reprinted?
Also is there a guess as to what the price will be with shipping? I know since there will be multiple stops it'll be higher, so even a ballpark guess would help. Thanks!
Of the "color" Rider Back decks, there were three producers: the Bond Agency (maroon/burgundy and yellow), BMPokerWorld (brown) and DiFatta (all the rest). Of all the re-released "Standard" deck box versions, all that I've seen done far is DiFatta's decks. I emailed BMPokerWorld, and they stated there will be no Standard version of the brown. None of these are being re-released in the "classic" Rider Back box.
Shipping will depend on method. If I'm going to be the shipping coordinator, I could pass it off as printed matter, or perhaps First Class. I usually prefer Priority Mail Flat Rate, and for small orders like this I can probably use either the plain envelope or the padded envelope. The padded is $5.30 to anywhere in the US, the plain is 15 cents less.
If I'm shipping to Canada, either Priority Mail envelope would cost $12.95.
Bear in mind that I can comfortably ship up to nine decks in a single padded envelope, domestic or international, without breaking any weight limitations. I'm open to working out trade deals to ship you more decks for the same cost. I have a fair amount of trade goods, some rare, most not-so-rare but still limited, plus I can buy current decks either online or at a magic shop in Midtown. I also have access to local shops that stock Streamline, Stud and Tally Ho, and maybe a WSOP two-pack (paper, not tourney-made plastic!) or Bike Pro PokerPeeks.
I nearly forgot - if you need to pad out your collection of Rider Back colors, Tannen's carries DiFatta's "Bicycle Color Collection". For $85, you get nine Bicycle decks (Gold, Silver, Black, Red, Blue, Orange, Green, Fuchsia, Turquoise) and two professional close-up pads (1 black and 1 red). Of DiFatta's decks, they pack Standards if they're in print, Classics if there isn't a Standard version. Black is USPC Ohio-made, no Standard version is out yet. It's a nice package and I could squeeze it all into a single envelope if I got a little creative - the close-up pads would make great added padding.
