Good evening folks, my name is Mason and I'm just about your everyday guy, I know a few card tricks and some cardisty but mostly amateur stuff, most of what I do is collect and play cards. I grew up in a house where we had to be pretty self entertained because mom and dad stayed busy, so I learned how to play card games so that me and my siblings would have something to do other than get into trouble or watch TV, however I didn't start collecting cards until I turned 18 last year, that was when I started to find out about all the cool decks out there and I couldn't help but to pick a few up. In the year I've been collecting I've managed to aquire about 80 decks that interested me, I have everything from a Fallout New Vegas deck to the Venexiana Gold deck. In my collection I have two favorite decks, one is a Elvis Presley deck that my little brother got me when I graduated, and the other is a deck that a very close friend of mine got me because she knew I collected cards, they may not be flash or expensive but I wouldn't trade them for the world. I live in Kentucky where I was raised and where I plan to be going to college in the up coming months. I was brought into collecting cards just by my love for all the different designs, the artwork was always cool to me so I usually have more than one deck on my person so that I can share some of my collection with other people, a lot of people think it's odd that I can pull three different decks of cards out of my jacket and still have another one in my car or pants pocket but that's just what I like. Playing cards is also a major contributor to my managing to survive the stress of everyday life, everybody has something and for me it's a game of poker after the work night is over. Well that was me in a nut shell, just a guy who loves his cards, thanks for reading and I hope to talk to you guys again soon.

Great introduction, Mason!

I can relate to what you're talking about with always carrying around more than a few different packs of cards.  At one point, I was lugging a briefcase to work that was filled with playing cards!  I had an interesting time with that briefcase at Fort Lauderdale International Airport when coming home from a trip once - the TSA agent at the gate was new and couldn't distinguish the packs of cards from something more "offensive..."  These days I carry fewer decks, but still far more than the average person on the street, but that's because I play solitaire during the quiet moments at work and am often practicing my sleight of hand.

Where in Kentucky are you?  You might be close to the "Holy Grail" - Erlanger, home of USPC!  It's a suburb of Cincinnati, OH, but on the same side of the river as the international airport that serves the area.

I live about a half hour out from bowling green which is three hours away from Cincinati but sadly I have never been, and me and solitaire go way back lol, I play it when I'm bored but not when I'm at work because my number one poker buddy works with me and she will usually join me in playing while we aren't busy. But now that you mention USPC being down in OH I might may a visit some time when I'm on break from college, it would be something I could look into and make plans on, take my poker buddies with me and we could make a hangout day of it. Thanks for checking in Dan, and have a nice day.
