The video does a good job of presenting the cards - but it needs judicious editing! Ideally, it should run between one and two minutes in length, no more. Everything you need to say about the cards can be said in that space of time - you're repeating yourself over and over and over throughout the video, saying the same things about the cards multiple times and it gets boring fast; few people will have the stamina to make it all the way to the end. (I only got halfway through!) Use a script if you must. If you have video editing software, something simple but that can allow for soundtrack replacement, you can use the existing footage, cut shorter with a few quick fade transitions or straight cuts (nothing fancy) and a new dialogue track of you reading from the script.

I also recommend (if you haven't done this already) getting a test print of the Prism Day deck before launch or at the least before hitting the goal. What looks great on the black cards might or might not look great on the white cards - you want to test it and be certain before you offer something that turns out to be disappointing (or pleasantly surprising).

Thanks for your comments Don. I will redo the video on Saturday (the only day I'll be home during the daylight) and put that up instead of the long one. I also realise I say "shimmering" in the video.... eugh.

But just 3 days until the relaunch, I'm very excited! I've redone the project page, and would like any feedback you have before it goes live. Thanks

A script might sound like a silly idea, but it gives you MUCH greater control over the outcome. Scripted or not, practice several times and shoot each practice - "film" is cheap these days.

2) LPCC has been VERY busy of late...
3) November's not that far away. This project doesn't close for another 34 days, near the end of July. That leaves four months from completion of project to printing and fulfillment.

Yes, the delivery date is conservative. I have been talking with Lawrence from LPCC and they are quite busy, and have a decent lead time for physical proofs and production. If the campaign funds to a reasonable level I will start the physical proofing process early, but November is a safe date. You'll have them by Christmas for gifts!

And over $7k in 12 hours! This is unbelievable! Thanks everyone, and please share the project around so we can get across the line!

A bit of advice for the next launch: fewer, less confusing tiers! If you're adding a second deck as a stretch goal, DON'T mention it in the rewards until it becomes a reality! Make it an add-on to existing tiers and make a few tiers with the new deck alone. What you have now is a confusing mess.

I've just got myself in for an early bird half-brick.

I'm always up for supporting projects which either (1) try something totally new and innovative, or (2) try and raise the bar for quality on an existing technology. Everything about this looks really promising, and the colours used are very nice indeed.

I will be looking forward to comparing these with the output from MPC, because they seem really proud of introducing raised gloss on playing cards.

I never backed the project the first time purely because the funding goal was too high... and so I honestly didn't think it was going to fund, even though it was a pretty cool project. This time round though, the funding goal looks a lot more attainable... and so I'm in brother
