Hi everybody,

I'm a US expat living in Hungary. I moved to a small town where there's nothing to do! Last November, I became obsessed with researching about playing cards for reasons unknown. Now I own some German and Spanish suited decks as well as some tarock decks. Soon, I'll add a Portuguese facsimile to my collection. It's starting to eat into my meager income but still much cheaper than collecting chess sets or mahjong tiles! I'll probably join the IPCS in a few months. I came across this forum months ago during my research, it was inevitable since this is the largest forum. Now if I can find some one to play cards with...

Hi Tom,

Thanks for the reply. Is it really the oldest Joker? I think it's circa 1863 but some internet sources say there's an 1857 one which is a bit too early but still within the realm of possibility.
