I like these. I've always liked the leaf backs. While I think red/silver green/gold would be better than both being gold, this recolor is pretty festive and tasteful. Price isn't bad either if you're domestic.
Part of my Collection updated infrequently but occasionally, when I remember. (I haven't in months.)

I like the red shade used on one of the back designs, but I'm not too fond of the box's color scheme to say the least. Gold on green like that, and then two red shades. It doesn't match in my eyes, but to each his own.
Yes, I might be the guy you remember from that thing at that place way back when.

Seriously, I like this.  Gambler's Warehouse is releasing these decks.

Last year, when the Leaf Backs came out around the holidays, I'm willing to bet that most of the people who bought it did so because of the holiday colors - the leaves look a lot like holly to me, one of the many traditions of Christmas.

With the gold and the photo, this is doubly reinforced and I really enjoy the look, perhaps even better than the original.  And since it was their custom order, there's a fair chance that, unlike the 2013 release, these have Magic Finish on them.

Marcus - I'm pretty sure there's only one shade of red on the back of the red deck.  It looks like two shades because of the gold surrounding the leaves in the center - it's like an optical illusion.

I agree the cards look like they have one shade of red on the back. The tuck however, looks like it has two different reds to me. May just be the render.

Btw these will be featuring Metallic gold inks. I think they'll look very sharp. :)

For the box, they might actually have two shades.  They had to get special permission from USPC to order the deck - originally they just wanted more stock of the original design, but USPC was out and had no plans to reprint.  It could be USPC getting even fussier about how the logo appears and forced that mismatched color of red around the brand name on them.

I was referring to the red shades on the box, though on a second look it might actually be just the one. Either way, the color scheme of gold, green and red without any proper contrasting colors to ease it up makes it an easy pass for me.

It's a bit garish, to be sure - but it's "Christmas garish" as opposed to "just-plain-ugly garish"...  I'm interested.

I like the back of the red card and that's about all I like. Not sure what any of this has to do with the holidays at all. I do not appreciate standard faces. In a world of new creations and artistic discovery this deck is LAME.

Technically, nothing but the color scheme and the fact that the leaves look a bit like holly connect these decks to the holidays.  They were produced by USPC last year just before the holidays and apparently sold pretty well, since they're out of them, and that was without the metallic gold ink added.

Standard faces are practically critical if you are planning to sell to poker players or magicians.  It's why so many T11 decks have standard faces, and nearly as many from Dan and Dave, Ellusionist, etc.  I do understand it's not every collectors' cuppa, though.  It's not a new creation at all - it's a updated reproduction of a classic design from the USPC Bicycle archives, one of the designs from the "Mrs. Robinson" book that was written in the 1950s.

Holly leaves? Okay, but they look like maple leaves to me.

Friendly reminder on these. About 33 hours left on these Festive decks, which have reached their funding goal. :D

Bicycle Leaf Back Playing Cards (Gold Edition) (KS)

They are marching on a stretch goal that will put a handy dandy gift/display box in your hands. Nice gift in my opinion, box looks pretty sharp and will suit the seasonal feel as well as nonseasonal. I plan on using these with a sprinkle of the red and green leafs for the little holiday games that start to spring up mid December myself.

Here's a pic of the stretch goal gift box.
