I recently purchased a small job lot from ebay of cards to add to my ever growing collection. I know a lot about all the other decks but cannot find any info on the miss-spelt deck CARPATBIA. Can anybody help. for the record this is my first post so unsure how it all works.

Regards.

That was the Carpathia deck and was only mildly popular for a short while. I don't think it's really much sought after in general. Looks worth less than $10.

Back in 2012 there were 2500 decks of the white Carpathias printed, but only 144 of the black decks printed with the name Carpatbia (B for Black).

So you may have a bit of a keeper in that deck by itself!

But if you only want $10 for it...

Actually, it's thought that the black deck was accidentally misspelled, much like how the Bicycle Pirate decks said "Piraue" instead of "Pirate" on the Aces of Spades...

The whole theme behind that deck was as a commemorative of the sinking of the ocean liner Titanic.  It was an anniversary year, and the Carpathia was the first vessel on the scene to respond to the SOS call and rescue survivors.

We have a few topics associated with this deck - reading them should give you some insights on its history:
