So I was shuffling through my deck and pulling some cards for scans on my collection site and noticed something on the Joker.
Aside from the reveal I missed, if you look at the smoke it seems to read "Ruby", is this just another reveal or is there some hidden meaning behind it? I noticed it's on the original Legends Joker as well.
Magicians call it a reveal. In Legends v1, there were two jokers, a "plain" one and this one with two reveals - "ruby" in the smoke and the Two of Spades in the dragons right hand (the plain joker shows the back of a card instead). You could try a little mentalism to force someone to think of the color (or person) Ruby, or you could do a card force to get a spectator to draw a Two of Spades, then use this joker to show off the reveal. The actual reveal can be accomplished a few ways, one popular one being a move called the Shapeshifter and another being stacking the plain joker above the gaffed joker on the back of the deck, showing the gaff, placing it back on the pack (while performing an Erdnase exchange to swap jokers) and finally have the spectator hold the card - it appears as if you "changed" the card in their hands.
