  • I like birds.

  • Kickstarter:
This is possibly the worst teaser I've ever seen.

Things I got from it:
It's gonna be awesome.
It's made in the US.
( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

I know what the project is, Kevin told me about it before he moved.  I have no comment on the specifics, but it's going to be very popular, I can tell you that.  It's very similar to another deck Kevin worked on with another company.

@ Don

Are you talking about the White U.S. Reg Arrco Deck by NYMP? I was wondering if this was another NYMP deck being sold by TBC. I remember Kevin distinguishing the difference between TBC and NYMP months back for me. He said something along the lines of TBC dealing MORE with original production decks and that was the reason Kevin decided to make the White Arrco's a NYMP deck.

TBC/HOPC likes adapting their logos to fit the promotion. As I have seen on Facebook, TBC logo is now Black & White.

Oh, please.  You're that impatient that you can't wait a few days for the big reveal?

Lemme ask you a question.  Let's say this was YOUR deck that you worked hard on designing, getting the legalese out of the way for and that you spent your cash on to get printed so that you could sell it in your online magic shop.  I don't think you'd be too thrilled if one of your buddies, whom you told about your deck IN CONFIDENCE, went around blabbing about it just as it was preparing to release.  Or worse, several months prior.  Why do you think I waited this long before saying anything, when I knew about the deck sometime near the beginning of the year?

A few people do talk with me about projects and I respect the confidence they put in me.  If I didn't, my consultancy business, such as it is, would be in the toilet, and NO ONE would want to tell me anything.  Obviously Alex wants to build suspense, so I'm letting him and not giving the whole thing away and just tossing you guys a small hint.

I'm glad that Alex chooses Thursday nights to make these releases - I get paid on Thursdays!

I'm surprised more of these companies deck releases are not planned on the same bi weekly schedule that most get paid.

The thing is, though, that not everyone has the same payday - or pay period.  I get paid weekly, my ex-wife got paid twice a month (24 payments a year instead of 26 biweekly payments)...

I think the planning in this instance had more to do with the Memorial Day weekend - Memorial Day is the last Sunday in May in the US and the unofficial start of summer, so a lot of people take advantage of the national holiday and go on trips and have barbecues for the three-day weekend.  Swimming is usually popular - if the pool is heated!  But to the point, the sale begins on 04:00 UTC Friday, or late Thursday in the US and Canada, which would coincide with the arrival of the holiday weekend.  (It's also a common practice here for people to take a day off from work on Friday to get a head start on the holiday and extend it.)

But I'm sure all of you Americans (and Canadians or Mexicans near the border) out there already knew that...  :))

Sure! In the unlikely event someone is just coming out of a pool and wants to buy playing cards. Understandable. LOL I'd rather be swimming this weekend also.

In all seriousness and generally speaking, it would not matter if you get paid weekly and not biweekly. Following a biweekly pay schedule to release items covers both types of customers. If you get paid weekly it still falls under both of the two biweekly pay periods. It's all good.

And for those who get paid twice-monthly?  The 1st and the 16th?  USPC already makes most releases on the 1st, so I guess they're covered...   :))

If TBC stays true to the Aladdin brand and uses a smooth magic finish, I'm All-In on these.

Unless they stopped printing them in the last three-and-a-half-years, they're still in print.  In Singapore, they're as common as Bicycles are in the US.

But as far as these new ones, I really can't say squat - seeing as how the site won't load.  Say it with me now, people - "Magento SUCKS!"

I can see this deck being popular amongst Singaporeans. Color changing routines and such. When people are least expecting it. furthermore, like Don said, this deck is way too common in Singapore.
