This thread posts one simple question: What are the best deck combinations you wish existed?

These variations can affect design, performance, ect.

To start things off, I love to see a Gold Artifice.

But really, I would like to see something else designed by Si Scott (cause I really enjoyed the first three versions of the S&M backs) with custom courts that were border less and reflected actual people (like the Blaine decks). Handling?? Thin and stiff is my preference

Kidding aside, I'd like to see more decks that are 100% handmade art, like the Bohemia deck and the Bareknuckle decks before it.  The Bareknuckles in particular were perhaps the first decks I've owned that really put the third dimension into the court and joker artwork.  Who said that courts have to look like they were two-dimensional objects?

Damn! Phone lagged right as I was about to point that out  but yeah I enjoyed the Whiteknukles quite a lot in terms of court cards except for my deck handled like crap.

I keep screwing up the name.  Oh, and they need a better finish - mine are insanely clumpy.

Since this topic's not about an actual deck release, I'll move it to Talk Park.  I'd send it to Design/Dev if it was anything about a deck that actually stood a chance that one of us pipe dreamers would actually make it...

Eh.  Metallic ink is all over these days.  You'd have to do it up right - the Silver Split Spades are a prime example.  Did you notice the gold highlights in the black pips?

You got MMD?  A lot of people here passed on that deck, thought it was in poor taste.  What did you think of it, functionally and aesthetically?

yes, I have 2 .. personally, I do love these decks, I'm a massive geek when it comes to comics and I love collecting cards so this was perfect for me. The artwork on this deck is amazing, th story was very well thought out, although th script was very minimal .. it's not th type of deck you'll do magic with, it's a collectors item more than anything - faces r standard, handles like normal standard bikes, but it doesn't matter, all th work went into the back of the cards .. this is th kinda deck you wana just frame

Haha, I have actually played around with that before Alex, but I don't think it looks as good.

yea that guy really did his research.  i do believe jacks should be foot soldiers or squires.  if you look at the history of jacks or knaves, they were vice deputy, prince, squire.  look at the jack of clubs and the jack of diamonds today.  what kind of weapon is that?  a blunt club.  the jack of spades i don't even know what the hell that is.  over the years the weapons have become distorted.   if your going to make a new medieval deck, you need good weapons, armor and shields.

The artist said in interviews that the amount of work required to pull off that deck literally nearly drove him insane.  I think it took along the lines of two years to make - each and every card has slightly different pips, and the entire deck from start to finish is all hand-drawn art.  The artist's business site used to be SeaOfPain.com.au!
