Does USPCC have the things necessary to make a finish like the Jerry's nugget finish or they can't even if they wanted to ?
The formula is probably lost, and the equipment used to make it no longer exists. In those days, I hear that card stocks usually got their "air cushion" texture in the application of the finish itself, using soft cotton or linen rollers (hence the term "linen finish"). But the rollers wore out very quickly, requiring frequent replacement which slowed production, so the industry switched to the present process of embossing the card stock when it's being created out of paper from the mill.
no they could not. Jerry nuggets had a chemical finish that was bad for the environment. They canned it.
Actually, I used to think that as well. But in researching it, I've yet to find anyone with authoritative knowledge that backs the claim. It's likely an urban myth.
