Today I drove down to Gambler's General in north Vegas to see what they have. As soon as you walk in you're greeted with a view of well over 50,000 decks.
Most were the typical decks from USPCC. You had all of the Dragon Backs, the Decades decks, Hope for Haiti decks, etc. Then you had a megaload of cancelled & used casino decks (something that is completely uninteresting to me, but hey, they're there if you want them).
The real gems I will list below:
Cincinnati Rider Backs by the brick. There were tons of these. There were also loads of Cincinnati Bee and Aviator decks. There were about two bricks of Cincinnati Mohawk decks left as well, and I opened one to handle and they felt surprisingly great (almost on par with Steamboats for a smooth finish card). Before you think I go around opening random decks, know that the store actually has an open sample for you to try out of each deck.
The best part was finding one deck of Hoyle cards. Not USPCC Hoyles, but the original, vintage Hoyles from before the take over. I have yet to open the deck, and I am not sure that I will since it is a vintage piece. Either way, I was excited to see it and even more excited to buy it.
There were also bricks upon bricks of blue-seal Tally-Ho's but unfortunately they were all Pinochle.
