Clockwork Quackington deck

Clockwork Quackington deck marks the third deck in this delightful series.  Like the previous decks, it is themed around a city, in this case London, England.  The "quack" in the title already gives an indication that this is a more playful entry, and also gives a hint of what you can expect to find inside: toy ducks!

The overall presentation is deliberately inspired by the styles of children's books from the 1950s. The artwork pictures a town full of yellow rubber ducks, and it turns out that these depict royals from British history like King Arthur and Queen Elizabeth, as well as literary figures such as Jane Austen and  William Shakespeare.

As you can see from this animated gif, the flip-book animation of the faces of the cards shows a clockwork style setting, with arcade like ducks swimming and diving.  It's highly entertaining, giving this deck a less serious and more playful feel than its predecessors.

Like the previous two decks, this was printed by USPCC to ensure high quality playing cards.  Given my own affinity for light-hearted novelty, It's probably my favourite of the series so far, although I do also appreciate the more serious look of the Empire City and La Ville Lumiere decks.

Where to get them? These animated playing cards are available from the creator Stephen W. Brandt, at his website fig23.com.
