Because I was bored and the deck was old. And I had to throw them away... they were ruined.

That actually looks pretty cool! Next time you should do it without the box and make sure the cards float around a little. ;)

This makes me wonder... I would love to see a deck inside a neat, plastic mold. You can probably accomplish it at home by melting down plastic in a metal mold of some kind, dipping the deck in, and letting it cool.

Would make a neat display!

Alex, you mean just like the block of ice, but made of clear plastic?
That would be awesome, not to mention it wouldn't melt like ice does. ;)
And I can't wait to see the frozen 1800s!

I think we're all thinking to ask how they handle ;P
Mystery is the basic appeal of magic. Once the secrets are known, the magician becomes a mere manipulator, an actor in a suspense drama which has little impact because the audience knows the ending in advance.

They are obviously not going to handle at all. They will be all wet when they melt and probably split when pulled from the box.
People say nothing's impossible, but I do nothing everyday.

Today I found something that reminded me of you. But don't worry I flushed and everything went back to normal.

I would advise everyone not to try this thi unless you have a bunch of experience dealing with toxic fumes.  If you can do it without burning the plastic into a black lump, well then, well done.

That's pretty cool. One tip that you might want to think about if you freeze your 1800 series deck... If you boil the water and then put it into the container with the deck it will freeze with less bubbles. This will make the ice clearer and youll be able to see the deck better!   :D

That's interesting! Why don't you try to shape it like AIP bottle that made from ice?
Then it would be like a bottle that you cannot take the deck off. LoL

Obviously, the next step is to get the spectator's chosen (signed?) card to be produced from the frozen deck.

Do it with an embossed box, and see if the ice would duplicate the embossing!
