Hi there,

I need help with card deck identification. I owned set like this long time before but lost it during relocation and want to buy a new one. Unfortunately, I can't find any info about it. It looks like a regular set, but look at this Jack! It's saddest Jack that you ever seen!

I managed to find almost identical set: https://m.gettyimagesbank.com/view/king-of-clubs-playing-card-isolated-on-black-background/644209346 but there is no description about deck. I also writed message to photographer from gettyimagesbank, but he didn't answer me

Can you help me please?

Can you remember the name or back design of the deck you had before, the ones that had the same face you're seeking?

Yes, that's a pretty sad looking pair of courts!  I've seen some decks like this over the years - I have no idea why the artists who made this deck face made them so sad-looking but I can't imagine it was good for sales!

Yes! One card stayed with me, so I took a photo, see attachments. Looks like card with numbers have a different design, not like a deck from photo stock site, but I'm totally sure that all other cards, and especially Jack looks same

If that card is the genuine article from the deck in question, then it's most like made by a European manufacturer.  The telltales are the four-index design (not common or popular in the US, but common enough in Europe) and the Philips brand name (Koninklijke Philips N.V. is a Dutch multinational conglomerate.

Start looking through the images of European card faces.  That card looks bridge-sized/narrow - am I right?  There's often a varying degree of differences between the standard faces of poker-sized cards and bridge-sized cards from the same maker, much as there's differences in card art between a standard-index deck and a jumbo-index deck (though in the latter case, the main difference is simply that the art has been shrunk to better fit the card face with the big indices).  Could be any of a number of European makers - Piatnik, Cartamundi (and its many independent European subsidiaries, such as Fournier), etc.

This list might help your search.
