I applaud the effort that went into this.  However, it does seem a bit overly complex, even for a custom card game.  I've played many CCGs over the years and most weren't as complex as this.  The KISS principle applies very heavily when it comes to playing cards because you don't have a lot of real estate to work with!

Hello Don,
Thank you for your insight. Perhaps a review of the rules cards will resolve some of your issues. Utopian Chess is pretty simple, draw a card and move the chess piece. Illustrations; that is, all the characters, are derived from our fantasy/sci fi novels, RPG books, and comic books.
Again, I appreciate your comments.
Namaste,
Mel Wayne

It’s not simply a matter of the rules. Look at the cards! Look at how many different stats you crammed on to a piece of paper that’s only 2.5” by 3.5” - and with artwork! It’s cluttered and confusing - I’ve seen simpler D&D character sheets. It will intimidate the novice user.

Ahhh...got it. Thank you for the input.
Selling numerous decks since release of the Utopian Chess deck two weeks ago.
We shall see if the "busy look" confuses the viewer.
I also have a larger custom card that I will post soon.
See attachment.
