I've just received this deck the past few days, and they are absolutely amazing. There's so much detail put into the tuck box and the cards look amazing.

I love the approach and the concept, not to mention the deep contrast in colors. To me, they stand out more than other black and white decks. The court cards aren't plagued with distracting colors. Their just nice and simple. However, although the deck looks outstanding, it looks a little too dark for my taste.

S&M wins it for me. The back design is simpler and the court cards look nice.

I would have to go with the Stingers. You've got to love those borders! The Raider deck has too much for me.

Magical Cardistry Bonanza / Re: D&D evil kickstarter project...
« on: April 27, 2013, 01:57:28 AM »
I don't see this project that bad. Other than those with mixed decisions about D&D using Kickstarter for funds, I don't find it that bad. For only $2, you get a signed card from the Producers, and for $25, you get that, access to their website, and a digital copy of the film. Seeing as standard movie sell now for $20, I think it's a nice idea. D&D's planning to use Kickstarter to, not only reach out to their magic friends, but also to others curious of the art. Interesting take in my opinion.

Sadly, it didn't pass $47k, but I'm proud to have backed for the $4 reward, snagging a signed card. Now, I can see what the UV lighting looks like without the whole deck.

I wouldn't even know what to do with a gross of standard decks, let alone 150 of Vodkas. Geez. One could profit greatly just selling each for $10.

Casted my vote for Artifice and Black Ghost. I've loved the Black Ghost Joker ever since the beginning. It's just great. Artifice is another really cool, and shady one too!

Titanium wins it for me. The colors are absolutely amazing on the backs, faces, and pips!

They didn't become scarce until the casino sold out!
If that's the case, how come these specific decks are such a staple in our hobby? I'm sure many other casinos sold out, but done of their decks have reached the height of this deck. I know handling may play an issue, but can it play this big of an issue?

Artifice Tundra - Although both decks are black and white, the white makes the Artifice stand out. Plus, the borders fade, which is always nice. Although I'm not a fan of the Ghost faces, it works surprisingly well with this deck though.

I really like what Asher does with his deck sales. I was there last year, and I had so much adrenaline to see the live prices fluctuate before your very eyes. What's tricky is that you can see the prices drop, but you don't know it that price will be the lowest. By the time you decide to click the button, it's already to late, and the price already rose. I'm telling you, it messes with your mind a lot.

However, if you act extremely fast, you can score an amazing deal on the "holy grail" of decks.

With that being said, it begs me to ask: How many decks does he have. This is at least his third year into this game, and he has sold a gross on average, each time. How many is he stockpiling? He must have at least three grosses and maybe more if he decide to continue it.

On the bright side, his stockpile of cards have proved beneficial for some people regardless if they buy some. I have a coveted signed card from him on a J-Nugg. :))

Playing Card Plethora / Re: Gold Arcane Uncut - for FREE!?
« on: April 23, 2013, 12:09:56 AM »
I don't know if I were you, but I would feel cheated if I were him. What if you didn't want two uncuts, but just one? You spent nearly two Bejamins to get one, and now they are releasing one for free, just a little less than a Jackson.

Do you guys know that they now come out with a new promotion again, " Join the black club membership now for only 97USD and get a GA uncut for free" ?   haha how you guys feel when u hear this news ?  cheated ?

Where'd you hear that? It says it's still being sold for $147. Maybe you get a discount of $50 if your a returning customer.

Fathom - To me, this deck stands out more. I thought the Aqua deck was wonderful, but I was swayed by the1eyedjack's online review.

I've always liked the remixed spin on standard cards, so Zenneth wins it for me.

I've always enjoyed the elegance of the Crown decks, but the details of the Split Spades won me over.

Brimestone and Quicksilver all the way. I have to stay with Russell on this one.

The only reason you're mad is that you didn't get one!

Exactly!  :P I should also add that I have spent my time furiously refreshing TBC website since the beginning; all for nothing.

I suffered from the same fate of loldudex2. I also couldn't make my order go through.

It was a giveaway to the early birds, no different than snagging an early bird deal on a Kickstarter project.  The lower tiers always go first because more people can afford them - and it was a LIMITED EDITION, SOLD-OUT deck on the lowest tier, man!  We're lucky that any at all were offered.

The difference between this kind of sale and a Kickstarter early-bird is that Amazon servers won't let you down.

I think it was a really bad choice from The Blue Crown to have a limited stock for their tier prizes considering that a lot of people will have trouble completing their orders in time - not because they were not fast enough, but due to a issue with TBC's own website.

And yes, I know it's all freebies they were giving, still, not being able to grab yours when you have dedicated your time to it - well, that is VERY disappointing, and that's bad business.
Now you know how I felt with the Red Artifice releases.
Just put it this way: You didn't get one because you weren't fast enough. Someone was before you in the line and processed their order faster. And refreshing just made it worse.

Yep! Ghost pips. Anyway, I'm liking the look of the deck overall. Just hope they don't put out a rainbow of colors. Ugh.

I guess they looks the same like others artifice decks. ( I'm still waiting for my order  ::) )
What makes you think the design will not look like an Artifice deck?

Lol. Very clean-looking deck. Interesting choice of names though. It's very powerful in only six characters.

Is it safe to say these will have white borders?
What makes you think otherwise?
