Signed Black Reserve Note Private Reserve on eBay for $1k, probably the most I have ever seen asked for a modern deck. I wasn't part of the original campaign, so I'm not privy to much info on the Private Reserves, were there really so few of them to command that high of an asking price?

We are Brain Vessel Creative, and we are proud to release our next set of playing cards, the Seven Seas Master Collection.

Cats and Dogs Royale Limited edition collectible playing card. Everybody loves Cats and everybody loves dogs, well at least one or the other! (For those who don't like both read no further!) I have been a lover of collectible playing cards and have never found a satisfying pack featuring cats or dogs! Anyway I decided to remedy the situation and publish some myself. As an illustrator of 25 years I thought it would be fun to do the picture cards featuring Cats and Dogs as royalty through the ages. The two decks share artwork with the characters as either Dogs or Cats.







The cards will be printed on slip coated gloss card and the aim is to pack them in a collectable printed tin container for added appeal and protection. The $8,500NZD (US5,9320) goal covers printing of 5,000 units which offers the best scale of economy.

A LITTLE HISTORY...
Released on June 30th,2014, The Strange #1 launched Top Secret Press into the Sci Fi comic Genre. The cover, based on designs by John Daniel Taylor IV, feature artwork of Cyber Girl(Useless Girl) by Dave Acosta, Inked by Juan Albarran and colored by Ivan Nunes. This deck is being created in conjunction with the 1st Anniversary of the release of The Strange #1 on June 30th!

ABOUT THE PLAYING CARDS...
The set of 54 cards (52 suit cards + 2 Jokers) will have the Cyber girl cover on the back of every card. If we reach the goal of $500, the cards will be shrink wrapped. We have arranged a new set of inkblots for this project which will allow you, if you wish, to make your own interpretations of their meanings.

The Cards



USPCC will be printing this deck when we raise enough capital. The cards will be regular Bicycle style rounded corners.
Suits -There is a beautiful and unique inkblot for each of the four suits: Clubs Hearts Spades and Diamonds.
The Aces feature large versions of these inkblots.
The numbers through to royal cards go up from black and white to gradually having differing colors just like the originals.
As an added bonus the two Jokers contain a little known secret, from the  side of psychology. You can use these in performance to show an interesting Trick of the mind.

Just saw these in the new release list and absolutely love them. Despite some minor hang ups I have about one way backs and hesitations about the faux aging, and I am sad to see the courts repeated through the suits, I am all about it. I love the source IP to death and consider myself a Browncoat to the core.

One thing that I find really appealing is that all of the artwork is original by an artist that is very familiar with Firefly already (Has produced a number of cannon approved material already), and they didn't try to use actor likenesses to liken them to the show/movie. Which makes it feel like something you might find in the cannon, not just something about it.

Printed on Bike stock and priced reasonably by my standards.

I wanted to give this deck it's own spotlight on this forum because I am a fan.

Suck UK, a somewhat kitsch but novel and fun online retailer, sell these great 52 card/page blank notebooks made with playing card stock and bound to create a small deck-of-notebook that would be great as a pocket sketchbook, for jotting down occasional musings or for a card designer on the go. Just found it randomly through Instagram and looked it up online. Thought it was worth sharing.
