Trying my hand at a more traditional-styled deck. Theme is based on cloak-and-dagger/espionage themes. Numbered cards will be traditional offerings, while the courts will be based on the overall theme.  I've finished the back, Ace of Spades, King of Spades and King of Clubs.

A little background on the title and iconography. The "subrosa" is an old English icon for espionage and intrigue. The cloak and dagger are more modern odes to this theme. Suit courts will carry subtle hints to four of the main intelligence disciplines: signals, geospatial, human and technical/scientific.

  • Pick a card, any card...no, not THAT card!

It's not a bad design, but it's not terribly exciting, either.  Good for magicians, not so good for people into full-custom work.

Although I'm a big fan of borderless and colored borders, the back design doesn't seem to need the red border. Why not white and practical since the design contains white elements anyways?

Working on some more significant changes to the courts versus minor changes to the standards. In the meantime, here is a possible tuck box draft.

Nice, so far.  I'd suggest against using a tuck box template until you've selected a printer.  Not all printers use the USPC template.  For now, if you can make a three-dimensional render, that would work nicely.
