Earth's Elements in Bicycle® Playing Cards- Fire

From the creator of The Æsir Deck.

Quote
The Elements series of Bicycle® playing cards, printed by USPCC. The first deck in the series will be Fire, with Water, Earth and Air coming through stretch goals or future campaigns. I'm working in collaboration with Deveo Media, the design firm that produced the art for the Æsir decks from last year. The series' theme is to use names from around the world that take their meanings from the elements to create beautiful court card figures. I've put some examples below.

OK, here's the good stuff: The card backs and the suits: Diamonds (Fire), Spades (Water), Earth (Clubs), Wind/Air (Hearts)

Here are some of the court cards that have been completed:

I like the backs quite a bit. Looking forward to these actually.

I think that the name "the Elements Series" might have already been used, possibly more than once...

I think you're right. I seem to remember a card game sharing the name as well.

Ignite and Fathom decks from Ellusionist have been around for a while now. No Earth or Air deck yet. I wonder if they have given up on it?

AlieN InK  also did THE ELEMENTS Playing Cards

I think they combined Earth and Air to come up with Daniel Madison!  :))  Yeah, the marketing took a very different direction...

Well, at the least, it doesn't appear that there's been any Bicycle-branded Elements decks - right?

The suit markers show the essence of each element. The Clubs' fleur-de-lis, the Spades' drop of water, the Hearts' wind symbol, and the Diamonds' flame have been tastefully incorporated into its suit marker's design.

Hmmms, not a fan of the pips tossed in all blown up behind the courts. Also not a fan of the dirty queen or the Aces. I think it's the pips I may not like.

Am I fan of the card backs! Wish the images there were used somewhere in the deck and the pips more umm, not what they are now.

Tuck box I'm a little half and half on. I do wish the Bicycle portion was framed, would give a little needed structure there in my opinion.

It's not an awful deck and not an awful series.  But it's not making me excited to have a deck, either.  It's a nice art deck, but I've seen so many nice art decks that they're starting to blend into each other.  It lacks some level of distinction to make it somehow better than all the previous offerings I've seen.
