haha, yes it is! I've watched it six times, pausing several times after the initial viewing whilst waiting for a north american vendor to put up Heat edition as well. So far only one who has them up that I've been to is JP across the pond, sans pics. Seen the backs though, good enough.

Hi all! Been hit with many questions, so we created a video that hopefully answers as much as possible:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1zFOHKJQjzM

Here is an inside look at the Run Playing Cards. The history, the inspiration, the hidden symbology, easter eggs and more.

Jason, near the end of the video you talk about how future printings of these decks won't have the slip cases.  So is it correct to say that there ARE going to be reprinted?  Will that printing be identical except for the box, or will there be changes (color changes, different design, etc.)?

The cards are pretty attractive from what I can see so far.

It will most likely be a V2, without the slipcase, but still have the DNA of the RUN design aesthetic.

What is the bankroll edition and why is it 100 dollars? I thought there was only the standard and heat editions?

It's the black/red not for sale deck. Looks very sharp and will be rarer than the others. I have no idea why CPC put it up for a honeybee though.

Jason posted a pic of it on the top of page 2 of this thread.

Yeah, I thought the picture looked familiar. Do we know why it was printed if its not for sale? Will they be prizes for contests or something? Also, how did Collectible Playing Cards get some to sell if they can't be purchased?

They were printed to be used for giveaways, contests, and as sales incentives for retailers. Very few will be handed out in total each year. CPC will probably receive one or two with their order and they decided to put it up for pre-order along with the other two editions.
Yes, I might be the guy you remember from that thing at that place way back when.

  • Charm gets you quite far. Guile gets you the rest.
Do any versions of this deck not include the dollar bill symbol?
Kickstarter completely revolutionized the way I waste money.

The people who handle playing cards are always in a world of delicate fingertip technology.

All three decks have the same, exact design with different colors.  They all have the $.

The new RUN DECK will be arriving with me shortly and they look a beautiful and practical deck. They have been designed by Jason Brumbalow (formerly Ellusionist) and he looks to have done a great job with his first deck designed exclusively created by Murphys.

Some of the official text is here:

It's a sin to let a sucker keep his money. So, leave honour in your rear view mirror, because only two things matter in this world... this score, and surviving it. Run Playing Cards embraces nerves of steel and a clean getaway into a superior deck of cards, with a rebellious attitude.

Created & designed by acclaimed playing cards producer, Jason Brumbalow, the value and quality of the Run Playing Cards is unparalleled in its class. With a true survivor's attitude, this deck reveals its authentic, underground gambling roots in every inch of detail.

Raw, unruly attitude meets new-school design. Defiantly decked in gold foil from front to back, a bold design that drives home the pure essence of the hit and run survivor. The first deck in its class to come equipped with a hardened, protective, custom card case that's styled to perfection to achieve a raw, custom look.
Born from the quality and proven reliability that you can expect from the US Playing card company, Run has a slipstream glide which provides an unmatched, responsive feel and is just plain durable as hell.

Let your chips fall where they may, but know where the exits are, because after the score, there's only one thing to do.....

I have attached some images, these are due in the next week and will sell at £7.95 per deck http://ajtplayingcards.co.uk/shop/4587169221/run-playing-cards-standard-deck-of-cards-by-jason-brumbalow-magic/9080249

AJT, I merged your topic with this one. We try to keep it to 1 thread per subject/deck. Helps keep the place tidy.

Same here, I'm eagerly awaiting mine. Maybe friday! I'll be at a poker tournament when they arrive, if it is friday, but it would be very cool to have them here when I get home from it. I'm more excited about the RUN decks than I am about black friday overall. haha, I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing.

I like the hype, but your bark is better than your bite.

Custom pips: check

Custom courts: check

Is that a sword coming down form the indices?

Everything seems fine, but yet something seems missing.

I do like the way the sword is coming out of the court box.  And the tuck box is something else.  Maybe better than a card clip....

My friend - I considered not getting any of the decks.  I've scaled back my spending on cards overall.  Then I opened my mailbox and found a package from Jason...a pack of standard and a pack of Heat.

Dude, I don't know what I was thinking, considering passing on these.  The level of detail in the packaging - phenomenal.  The faces - simple andgorgeous.  The handling - well, we all know what a Magic Finish deck feels like.  I really like the stock - it reminds me a bit of Tally Ho stock.  Not as soft as Bicycle, not as stiff as Bee - good blend.  Been putting them through their paces the past few days - I think I want to get a few more!

I get the feeling that if you pass on these, you'll be kicking yourself all the way to 2015!
