OK, fine, they're cranes, but still - it's a better Flamingo deck than the current Flamingo deck!

2.  "cambric" finish....?  I hope it's not like the "cambric" finish on Ace Fulton's Casino deck.....   <shudder>

What's wrong with the Fulton casino in cambric? The cards seem all right to me.

They apparently had some serious handling problems due to the finish. It wore down and clumped far too quickly from what I heard. On top of that it was a thick deck. That combo would make me shudder as well. I believe the problem has been resolved in the new editions.

That would make sense. I got mine fairly recently, didn't get them when they came out. Seemed fine to me.

By "later editions", I believe he was referring to the red and blue decks, done in a smooth finish.  Each Fulton's deck only had a single print run.  The initial release was the orange and brown decks, with a bonus "Midnight Fuel" black deck, all with the Cambric finish.

While I haven't handled a Fulton's deck for more than a brief period, I'm guessing it's not that dissimilar handling-wise to the original Fulton's Clip Joint.  The finish on those barely lasted long enough to get the cards out of the box, but the stock was considerably thin and flexible, almost too much so.

Strange, then. I haven't played much with them, but they seemed average to me. Perhaps I just have a gentle touch...

Or that the problem wasn't universal throughout the entire print run.  Stranger things have happened.
