  • I like birds.

  • Kickstarter:
HOLY CLIPART, BATMAN.

Even if it was designed from scratch, it just looks like each element was made individually, and a deck was assembled from a pool of prefabricated art.

Next.

The back design reminds me of the Ace decks by Carta Mundi.

I'm always of a mixed mind when it comes to decks that "commemorate" a war. I backed the Civil Unrest decks, despite the fact that they contain Confederate elements, and this deck likewise makes me uneasy. Granted, the Germany (and Russia) of World War I are not quite as emblematic of outright evil as their successor states in WWII, but… I don't know. It has to be handled carefully. This design isn't awesome enough to lift me past that.
There are no 3's in rousselle. There are, however, two s's, two l's, two e's (but not in a row), an r, an o, and a u.

The line work on the back is an exact copy of the original. He took out some detail to add the 1914-2014 and changed the pic of the plane. I'm not saying this guy didn't put effort into bringing all the images together. I like the idea of it, but please stop with the clip art decks.
Last night I stayed up late playing poker with Tarot cards. I got a full house and four people died.

  • Pick a card, any card...no, not THAT card!

I get a kick out of how the card back image on the box and the actual card back DON'T MATCH.

I think the corners aren't standard - they appear smaller.  I nearly thought this was a faro deck when I first saw it!

Clip art or not, it sure LOOKS like clip art.  Not likely to win many fans around here, myself included.
