If you really want to eliminate time wasters while still using a reserve, consider raising the opening bid.  That way, there's less "territory" to cross in order to bid this deck up to the reserve.

Don: thanks for the advice. I did consider having a higher starting price. Maybe next time!

Nathan: yeah. The reserve wasnt unrealistic either. I'm not about to let these go for peanuts. The other buyer put a big bid in early, forgot about them, bought a load of other decks & therefor didn't have the funds to buy them! Said he was gutted as he really wanted them.

Ah well. I'm happy to keep them. It would of been nice to raise some money for other decks, rather than eating into my current account.
