Hello guys, I've just got a deck of one of my most longed for deck of cards, the bee wynns. I know that this pack is really good for cuts and aerials, but you can't fan it for nuts. I powder all my decks and I just want to ask whether powdering them will make it a better all around deck or turn it into a huge sticky block of paper. I've searched around on the Internet and all I could find was some mixed thoughts of powdering the deck. Some says that it become sticky and a dirt magnet after powdering whereas some say it turns into a better deck to fan. Please understand that I really don't want to spoil this deck as I really like this deck and they don't come by here in Singapore often. Thus, I apologize if you guys think that it's a worthless topic to diccuss and if you think so, I'll be more than willing to delete this thread. For your information, my deck is a standard index blue wynn . Please do help me out here and thanks in advance for your help!

Not sure why there is a myth of these decks not fanning. Mine didn't fan out of the box but working them in really helped. Been abusing mine for a while now and they still fan perfectly with only occasional clumping for a couple of the cards. Fanning powder kills the life-span of a deck and I hate how it makes my hands feel, so I advise against using it in general.

Thanks for the quick reply Alex! I've yet to break them in fully yet. Maybe after I break them in they'll become better in terms of fanning I suppose. I'll feedback to you guys after I break them in longer.

I'm glad this thread is here... While we're on the Bee Wynns topic... Could someone explain to me these Wynns... I have the T11 Brown Wynn... I also have the Techart Violet and Red Decks... So (3) Bee Wynns in total...

I now see on eBay from overseas Green, Black, & Purple (perhaps the same as Violet) Wynns... Does anyone know anything about these other colors?  Are they USPCC?  Does anyone have them?  There seems to be so much excitement surrounding the Brown Deck and then the Techarts, but not the Green, Black, or Purple... Could someone please help decipher this madness for me... Thanks, J.

The other colors (purple, green, etc.) are fakes. I remember reading about those a while ago and that's what everybody was saying. It's a shame because I would love to see some purple wynns  >:(

I want to point out that the decks are not from T11. The cancelled versions are actually sold all over the place here for $2 a pop.

They are fakes, made in China. There are many minor differences on the boxes and cards. They are garbage here.

The Brown Wynns got all the hype because they were reputed to handle better than the others for reasons as yet unknown, at least to me.  Sellers are trying to piggyback off the hype to sell the other varieties of Wynn decks.  T11 carried the Brown Wynns for a while - TechArt Jumbo faces, no diamond-back pattern, just solid brown with the Wynn logo at top and bottom.  I've seen them used in one or two ads for tricks on DVD.

Brown Wynns were never used on the gambling tables, so there is no cancelled Brown Wynn.

Is everyone in agreement that these are Fake and Bull$#!T? Because they're going for $50 for the set (thankfully I paid much less) on Fullboatdealer right now...

Those aren't the fakes. There was a dealer in the past selling the other fakes. But those two are legit:D

OK... So let me get this straight:
Brown T11 - Great
Violet & Red Tech Art - Good
Everything Else - Fake

Or are there legit Green, Black, & Purple USPCC Decks out there?

Nope, The violet and red have standard indexes too. The Brown T11 wins only have tech art. Hope this helps:D

By the way, I've heard of black wynns too, seems like that there are real black wynns around. Anyone can vouch for that? :-\

Brown, Violet, and Red are all great and legit. Currently other colors are all fakes. Besides, people like the Stardard Index more than the Jumbo Index. You should not collect casino decks, they are not your style.

If it is Wynn|Encore Black deck, it's legit.

If it looks like the above decks, but is black, put one aside for me... No sense in collecting 3 of the 4 colors...

If it looks like the above decks, but is black, then it's a fake. I don't want to explain more (I had spent too much time on discussing fake Wynns on Chinese forums), anyway trust me : they are fakes.

Yeah, brown, violet and red Wynn decks, the ones we all love, for $2 per deck.

Keep in mind they are cancelled, so they have a cut corner which is why I don't bother with them. However, I've seen the cancelled decks sell on eBay for $10 a pop, which is insane to me and a little hilarious. :P

Or are there legit Green, Black, & Purple USPCC Decks out there?

You could be correct on this.

This dealer is very reliable, and here's what he has carried.

First, there's the brown Wynn's sold at T11, which do not have the T11 logo on them, since unlike the JAQK deck, they didn't redesign them, they just resold the originals:
http://www.the1eyedjack.com/servlet/the-51/Wynn/Detail

Then, there's the other two colors, red and violet, of the same deck.  Not quite as expensive.
http://www.the1eyedjack.com/servlet/the-52/Wynn/Detail
http://www.the1eyedjack.com/servlet/the-53/Wynn/Detail

Lastly, there are three older models of the same colors called "signature decks" because instead of the Wynn logo, they have Steve Wynn's signature of his last name as it appears on the top of the hotel.  They're straight-up TechArt Bees with diamond backs and sell for even less.
http://www.the1eyedjack.com/servlet/the-138/Wynn/Detail
http://www.the1eyedjack.com/servlet/the-136/Wynn/Detail
http://www.the1eyedjack.com/servlet/the-137/Wynn/Detail

All six of these decks are UNCANCELED, new from the factory, sealed in the original cellophane with the original deck seal on them.

After that, you'll have versions of these that have been canceled and were actually used on the casino floor.  Some people like collecting those, but the idea of a worn-out deck handled by god-knows-who just doesn't have that same appeal for me, especially when the cancellation is a sloppy corner cut.

After all of that, anything else you find will likely be Chinese-made forgeries.  USPC's been having a lot of trouble with these forgeries, in particular the off-the-rack Bee decks.  You'll often find them selling in dollar stores and the quality is nothing like USPC - totally awful.

I have the brown, violet and red decks.  IMO, they were one of the best fanning decks I own straight out of the box.

If fanning is the only consideration, my choice is Old Stud.

They're not THE best but they seem to have gotten a reputation for not fanning well and I just don't think that's true.  V. Slims are probably the best I've got... maybe V6s, new Massas or new Blades (i.e., not used much).
