T11 decks are not that rare except for the white centurions.
I really hope that they wont reprint this. Just the black is good.
I would LOVE to see a White Centurions V2, with a proper box, just like how Black Ghost comes in a V1 and a V2. It would be easy enough to tell them apart by the box and other minor details, like the updated T11 logo on the ad card. I want to have the deck, but to use, not to leave on a shelf, and it's hard to do that with a deck worth hundreds of bucks. Especially since you have to SPEND hundreds to get it in the first place... NOt only does that not sit well with me, but if I did it, my fiancee may castrate me!
i honestly have no problem with them releasing V2-v56789 of decks. and seriously what do u expect them to do, just leave everything about the deck exactly the same as before?? lets get real. the monarchs were a joke because of what they claimed they would be. the v2's they make they only claim that they are v2's with some minor improvements.
t11 gets alot of heat on this forum, MUCH of it is deserved, but i dont think they deserve so much heat about reprinting a deck for their fans.
You do have a very valid point - for people who missed the deck the first time around, it's a great thing. Collectors find it annoying because of the "gotta get 'em all" attitude - have to get every deck, every color, every version, every printing, every variation...
People are deriding them because they feel it shows a lack of imagination. T11's last few truly original decks didn't rock people's worlds - let's go over them one at a time, in terms of general concensus, in reverse release order:
Steam Punk - neither steam nor punk. Pretty box. Lame USPC version.
Charity:Water - a good, solid effort for a charity deck, better than most, but not wildly original on the design front.
Monarchs - a lot of hyperbole for a so-so product.
The Titanium deck family (v1 only) - it's black or white; people love them or hate them, rarely in-between. But design-wise, they're as original as the Bicycle "color" decks.
DeckOne: Industrial Edition - a solid and well-liked deck.
Bee Stingers red: a solid and well-liked deck.
Sentinels: a beautiful design that's largely liked, though the quality of the paper is so-so. Great when new, lousy when old.
Other items on their list of last year's products are all not originals:
The JAQK deck - a slight revamp of a pre-existing deck, so technically not an original design.
Aristocrats - a USPC product
Bicycle v2 - new box
Guardians v2 and USPC - new box. USPC has different ad cards.
Erlanger-printed Propaganda - a new printing of an old product, and for some bizarre reason not even available on their own web site.
So you can see why people are getting fussy with T11 about all the V2s coming out - because though I'm sure they sold well enough, a lot of their recent v1s haven't exactly wowed people... I'm starting to think they print these in "limited" runs with full knowledge of the fact that they're making a new version or an additional print run at some point down the road.
Yeah I hear ya. I missed out on the propaganda v1 deck so I'm excited about the new version. Some people may have gotten the first deck so they can pass on it if they choose.
Don't know what it means but lately the1eyedjack and bmpokerworld have been selling Propaganda decks at like $10, much cheaper than they used to sell them before, is there already a V2 out that Theory11 didn't bother to tell anyone about? Or did they pull a Dan & Dave and suddenly find a whole bunch of them?
As far as the Centurions are concerned I fail to see what that picture has to do at all with Centurions and we've been hearing about new Centurions for like a year now and still nothing, can anyone confirm there actually will be a V2?
The short version of the story is that it's a new printing of version 1 - T11 stated it's not V2, nor is it USPC. I find it bizarre that they're not selling it on their own website. The new printing has some slight differences in the box - the USPC address panel is in a different font and gives the Erlanger address, not Cincinnati as the originals did. No way to know precisely when they were printed since there's no Ace of Spades code, though it does use the old T11 logo and not the new one. That would roughly put it somewhere between 2009 and mid-2011. I have decks of both, and I see no quality differences.
They further stated that new printings of their older decks aren't unheard of. I personally know of at least one additional printing of Guardians v1. Makes you wonder just how truly rare these "limited" edition decks are.
I don't have solid word on the v2 Centurions, but I did get solid word from T11 that a v2 Propaganda is coming.
