Playing Card Plethora / RUN PLAYING CARDS - Coming Soon!
« on: November 21, 2014, 06:41:05 AM »
The new RUN DECK will be arriving with me shortly and they look a beautiful and practical deck. They have been designed by Jason Brumbalow (formerly Ellusionist) and he looks to have done a great job with his first deck designed exclusively created by Murphys.

Some of the official text is here:

It's a sin to let a sucker keep his money. So, leave honour in your rear view mirror, because only two things matter in this world... this score, and surviving it. Run Playing Cards embraces nerves of steel and a clean getaway into a superior deck of cards, with a rebellious attitude.

Created & designed by acclaimed playing cards producer, Jason Brumbalow, the value and quality of the Run Playing Cards is unparalleled in its class. With a true survivor's attitude, this deck reveals its authentic, underground gambling roots in every inch of detail.

Raw, unruly attitude meets new-school design. Defiantly decked in gold foil from front to back, a bold design that drives home the pure essence of the hit and run survivor. The first deck in its class to come equipped with a hardened, protective, custom card case that's styled to perfection to achieve a raw, custom look.
Born from the quality and proven reliability that you can expect from the US Playing card company, Run has a slipstream glide which provides an unmatched, responsive feel and is just plain durable as hell.

Let your chips fall where they may, but know where the exits are, because after the score, there's only one thing to do.....

Deck Reviews! / Re: Disruption Deck

It would appear I may have been a bit light with my review, may I also add the following:

The texture of the card is the USPCC Air Cushion Finish and they handle amazingly.

The cards really do look amazing, bright and vibrant colours; I have attached a few more pictures for your perusal. I think the court cards are stunning, if not a bit cartoon like.

The cards may be more suited to a collector rather than a serious card player, although I am sure a magician can make a lot of use of the non-standard faces. They have a white border of sorts although this is not distinguished by the traditional line around the back to create a border; it is just where the patter finishes.

The box is a traditional tuck box (see picture) with a black and gold colouring and featuring the card pattern on one side.

I am yet to use these cards in the real world for an audience, but at my local magic society they certainly created a buzz with their unique design.

I do have these currently for sale on my site, although not sure for how long as they are selling well, they are £8.65 per deck and can be viewed here http://ajtplayingcards.co.uk/shop/4587169221/bicycle-disruption-deck-by-collectable-playing-cards-uspcc/9062915

This is one deck of cards I have really taken to. Having performed magic for many years, this unique deck provides no end of conversation pieces etc without any magic being performed.

The deck is printed by USPCC under the Bicycle brand and I think they handle great. The deck is very bright and colourful with great artwork on the court cards, as well as providing the regular cards with a little bit of a different face.

I highly recommend these cards.

Introduce Yourself / Hello Everyone

Hello,

This is a new area for me, I am a seller of playing cards but never been a member of a card forum. I have been a performing magician since I was a child and now in my late 30s I have ventured into the selling of cards to magciians, cardists and collectors. I hope to have the latest cards in stock but I am aware of certain forum rules and will not post a link etc.

I hope to use this site to find out what people like in cards, what people look for in cards and also to offer my opinion and review on the latest cards around etc, if that is ok?

thank you
Alan
