old man strength defies physics. You don't need to be muscular to have old man strength, you just have it. The biggest 20 year olds are no match for any old guy with old man strength, regardless of his size

old man strength trumps all

at least you can start getting some old man strength

Got a couple 3-packs. pretty glad I waited since I ended up saving about ten bucks, although I kinda wish I got a couple of coteries at a discount since I do eventually want that deck. Oh well, I didn't have 60 bucks to spend last time so it all basically worked out

Playing Card Plethora / Re: LTD uncut sheets! Only 115 available!
« on: January 26, 2013, 03:43:29 AM »
It'll be interesting to see how long these last. I don't see them being available for long.

Not surprising these aren't gone. $115 for an uncut sheet, especially after the holidays, will drive away a lot of people. Uncuts are a niche collectable in their own right, but especially ones these expensive, are increasingly difficult to sell. That, and people aren't falling for the "ultramegainsanelyrare limited" hype as much as before. There's not much room for profits with these on the aftermarket due to the high price tag, which drives away people who might buy them to resell later, and E actually took down the link on their homepage of their site- you have to search for it to find it! Guess these are a total flop so far...unsurprisingly. Only people who REALLY like the LTD deck AND are willing to throw down over $100 on one sheet are picking these up...and that's not many people, obviously.

hindsight is 20/20, huh

I've honestly never had a problem with my TR deck. It's always fanned just fine for me, much like a standard deck of bikes. Somewhat related, here's an awesome fanning video involving TRs

22 years old. It feels weird seeing how many kids are on here considering I just got into cards less than a year ago. oh well

1st post, offering to trade a bunch of rare decks, some incredibly rare, for a bunch of standard decks, no shipping information or anything following the rules.

seems super duper legit

I'd guess he's banking on his youtube followers buying the deck, since he's been hyping them on his channel for a while now. 5.5k subscribers isn't a bad fanbase though so we'll see. I have no desire to own this deck though so w/e

it's funny because in this very thread you said "USPCC could easily shutter the entire Custom Department and not lose a wink of sleep over it as regards their bottom line.  It's literally just a drop in the bucket for them.  Maybe more like a drop in a large swimming pool..."

and honestly that's where my biggest problem is with you saying it. You're flip-flopping all over the place. You say it could be a game changer but also say that USPCC couldn't care less. You say it's rarer than other decks but have said that rarity means less when there's so many limited run decks coming out now. Also I was a apprehensive of Zenneth making a huge deal out of "all of the secrets" like it's actually a big deal. There's no consistency when you talk about this deck compared to other decks, and I feel like I'm being fed marketing on these past couple of pages.

And I'm well aware of what a game-changer it could be, considering I brought it up well before you did in this thread.

92
really, Don? Weren't you just a while ago making the case that smaller number deck runs mean less and less now as far as value go? And 3,888 x 3 is over twice the run of the decks you just mentioned. These past couple of pages just seem like a big huge advertisement for the deck, and that's not really a huge stretch considering you got the deck early, so it's not unlikely that you're biased towards it.

while I'm generally against recolorings in principle, those decks look sooooooo dope. I'm sold for sure

I am intrigued by the handling of the Steamboats. If it's similar to aladdins then I'd definitely be interested in getting some. For now I'll wait till a cardist does a review on them before I decide whether to get them or not. (HINT HINT CARDISTS GET TO IT)

that is a good point. The last time I bought from E was before they started using the point system.

I don't have an ellusionist account, so I've been using it as a guest. Technically the discount isn't useless, but if your choice is between a 5% discount and a 10% discount, there's no rational reason to ever use the 5% discount.

One Word: Beautiful

Another Word: Surprisingly, these are open to everyone, not just Black Club members.

If you remembered how Black Club works, it would be much less surprising.  Members get a 24-hour advance sale opportunity on any new merchandise, including this uncut and the one for the LTD deck.  Granted, there will be occasional merchandise just for Black Club members, but that will be just a small portion of the overall stock.  And we get a built-in discount on everything we buy.

does that discount stack with other coupon codes?

I'd like to say yes, but I've already used all the one-time discounts so I couldn't say for sure.

Magic10 works more than once. I've used that code multiple times for 10% discounts on orders, and I just checked and it was good for 10% off on the Red Artifice Uncut Sheets. If that stacks with the 5% discount then that would be nice. Otherwise the 5% discount seems kind of useless.

well we already know for certain that Coterie won't be the only place having these in stock, so I'm choosing to avoid the high shipping costs from Hong Kong. Also I have my doubts that this deck will be going as high as 7 dollars each on other sites. Perhaps I'm too optimistic. I guess we'll find out
