so they're based in hong kong, i guess that's why they keep mentioning how they have to talk to their shipping company. i think they're having a fulfillment company ship it out in north america kinda like what circle city is doing with the americana decks.

i definitely like the back but if there's no customization on the cards im not sure if i'd be willing to pay more than 6 bucks for it.

well they can give out larger prizes but then there would be less winners and less contests. 500 is still a hefty amount. it may not have cost them 500 in terms of products since they would have gotten it made for cheaper than that but it's still a 500 dollar credit.

sxj -> no they're not, if you look in the account, they're called reward points. nowhere on the site does it refer to them as credits. even the mission quest refers to them as points.

guys, the credit that me and zagan won arent special credits, it's just $500 dollars. it's like getting store credit at a department store.

they called it a credit because they're not giving you cash so it's just $500 dollars. think of it as a coupon, they gave us a code to get a $500 dollar discount.

it's different from the points you earn based on each purchase. those points are used to redeem special products in the future. from what they've said, the items that can be redeemed will not be for sale. i guess it's kinda like the card clips.

im not sure where the confusion is coming from, the contest clearly states u get a $500 credit. the reward for purchases are reward points or points for short. they were never referred to as credits.

A flat rate Priority Mail envelope costs less than what they're charging me to ship three decks and it arrives in two to three days.  They're stating up to eight weeks for delivery - that's ocean shipping time, not air freight time.  I could drive from one corner of the contiguous 48 states to the opposite corner in less than eight weeks.  Hell, I could drive one lap around those states at the national border/ocean shore in less time!

The only possible currency conversions in North America would be Mexican pesos, Canadian dollars or the currencies of a handful of Caribbean and Central American countries.  I can't imagine where in North America it would be, excluding the US.  Canada, maybe, but I just don't think so - it's that whole broken English thing.  Canadians don't speak exactly the same English as Americans, but it's close enough!

Tell me, Aaron - where do you think they would be if they're in North America?

and that would apply if that were the case here but since it isnt i dont know what it has to do with anything. they're not saying that they're shipping it out as soon as u order and it'll arrive within 8 weeks, they're saying they'll start shipping them out in 8 weeks.

so when you look at the shipping and it costs 27 within north america and 43 or whatever it is internationally, that's a big indication that they're based in north america or at least the decks will be shipped from north america. how much a priority envelope costs is irrelevant as they've already stated that it's just a fixed price and not an actual estimate based on what you've order. so that being said, if the shipping costs less to get any of their products shipped within north america than it does internationally, it stands to reason that they're based in north america. one other possibility is that they're based overseas but will have a distributor ship the products from somewhere within north america.

i think the wax sealed decks are the same as well but then i notice that for the luxury package, it can include 1 red wax sealed classic uncut sheet. they make it a point to state that it's a red wax sealed uncut which would lead me to think that the red wax decks are different. because if it's just a seal on the tuck box, the uncuts would be the same.

another thing is, they called it a classic uncut sheet...i assume it's just the regular deck but if u read the item description for the regular decks it says every brick includes a wax sealed classic deck as well which is the red wax sealed deck. so there has to be more than just a red seal on the box. maybe the jokers or the aos are different. but either way it has to be different otherwise they would not refer to it as a red wax sealed classic uncut sheet if the only thing that was different is the box.

also i think they're definitely in north america. when the site first came out the flat rate shipping within north america was 27 and international was 43 or something like that.

well customs depends on how much they declare it for. i'll probably have to pay some too.

but yea on the site it says 8 weeks as the expected delivery date. it's on the marketplace screen. it also says 2 bricks per person but i dont know if that limit applies if u buy the luxury package along with 2 separate bricks cuz thats what i did and that actually puts it at 4 bricks total...

i got 4 bricks plus another 7 separate decks and 2 pearl white joe porpers =D and each brick is in a custom box with a wax sealed deck in each one

i ended up getting the luxury package, 2 bricks set, 3 uncuts. i should be getting 4 of the wax sealed decks. but it looks like they wont be ready for at least another 8 weeks so we'll see what happens.

i know the shipping kinda sucked for others but it's still just 27 flat for me and with 3 uncuts it's going to be a pretty big package. for me it was actually a great shipping rate.

sweet. i just won $500 credit as well. i was gonna pick some stuff up from them anyways so this just makes it 1000x better. i know what you guys mean about the other promo contests but to be fair to them, it's just a contest. it's not different than guys asking for likes etc. i was seeing their logo everywhere on facebook too, in the end it's just a promo. if u look at everything they're giving away...they coulda just spent that money on advertising somewhere and you'd see those ads too and we'd get nothing. but at least this way they're giving back to potential customers and fans in general even though they havent made any money yet.

that being said...it is kinda funny to see their facebook page. every post on that page has a skulkor avatar except mine which has yuriorkis gamboa lol.

I ended up only ordering 1 V4 and 2 massas because of shipping. Anything more that 3 decks was $33 to canada!

yea im not sure what the deal is. cuz the 13.60 international small box shipping fits up to 8 decks. i know this cuz i've had cards shipped in that box twice and it definitely fits 8 decks. u cant fill it with padding but u can still get it in with some bubble wrap.

need some money, will do a package deal for every dvd remaining for $160 plus shipping including the gaff deck. i believe that's a pretty fair price.

The countdown is when the store opens and when it does there'll be more than just the deck ;)

Also the deck isn't as limited as you might think so I'm sure you can get your hands on a few even if you don't line up for them.

so the decks are already made? or is it a pre-order?

this deck went up for sale tonight. anyone get any? i might get one just to check em out. i also want the joker shirt cuz i think it looks awesome.

94
imo i think it would be better if the contrast between the two colours werent as high. because when u get a bunch of the cards together it'd be harder to look at. another thing might be to add some sort of a pattern to how the names are displayed to make it easier to read and easier to see if u have a bunch of the cards next to each other. the patterns will help differentiate one card from another and make it easier to see. a border would solve this problem but if there's no border then maybe make every line a different colour (not like a rainbow but just different colours) and in the line that has discourse in it leave it white with discourse in red. a border might be good also.

95
hey guys, i wanna help too, not good with design so if there's anything else that i can do, put me down. the names on the back is a good idea but im not sure if black and white would look good. it looks fine if u're just looking at one card but if u have a bunch of them i.e. when you fan them, it could look very disorienting, especially without a border. there might be a better colour combo for it imo.

96
Could youse post pictures of the Ripley deck?

Also, how much would it cost for me to send you a deck, and have you put it in a bottle? I'm just curious.

i'd also be interested in something like that. i wouldnt be sending you red artifice decks or white lions since those resellers would probably frown upon that. but i would be interested in getting a couple made with decks that will never be in a AIP bottle, white cents etc. i'd only get 1 made so it wont be for resale purposes.

97
also, i'll let the gaff set along with the gaff deck go for 65 plus shipping or 65 in trades and we each cover shipping.

as mentioned, i like ltd's, tungstenes, red artifice, transducers etc.

i acutally checked on my black crown as i was too lazy to go get my other crown decks. but i believe they're all the same design just different colours so it should be the same.

confirmed, it's the same on both the left and right sides. if you look closely at it, you can tell which side is which. judging from the ace of spades which i used to tell which way is up, it looks like the top of the card contains the extra line.
