I got my shipping confirmation tonight, and I dunno if anyone else tried to pick up one of the ghost bracelets, but I got an email that said this:

"This is Skulkor. We are writing this personal message to you in regards to your order.

Your order has been dispatched. However, we are very sad to inform you that the Ghost Bracelet is removed from the collection. During our quality examination right before shipment, we have discovered an error in the assembly line during mass production. Ghost Bracelet has one of the most complicated designs on the market today. All parts are manufactured from different parts of the world to ensure that every piece of this bracelet is made from the best and latest technology possible. However, during the process of assembling the parts from across the globe, we've found an error. We haven't yet figure out which manufacturer is responsible. The bracelet still does the effect perfectly but the life time of the gimmick has shortened tremendously. This is not what we have initially desired for our brothers to equip. Therefore, we have pulled out all Ghost Bracelets from the packages last weekend right before their departure. This was a very difficult decision for us. But we want only the best for you and we are willing to take a great loss on our end to protect your benefit and investments. This is the integrity of Skulkor and we want you to know you are in good hands.

To appreciate your support and take on this responsibility, we would like to offer you the following options.

a) Full refund of the value equivalent to Skulkor Bracelet ($85).

I'm leaning towards the refund, but thought I might see what you guys think. What would your choice be? A gold seal doesn't seem all that big of a deal to me though.

Here are some pics comparing the original design with the new ones.  You should be able to see a lot more clarity in the vines and background of the modified back design.  The originals are on the left.  You must click to view the full size image to really see what I am talking about.

I would love to see these new improved designs get printed, I really liked the decks when I first saw them but all the complaints with the package, handling, etc, made me not want to get them. Hopefully you are able to do another print run sometime in the future. The new design focuses much more on the central part of the card (the vines coming together to make the main symbol) and I like that a lot.

I don't see why everyone is bashing the NOC decks. They set out for a simple deck and the slogan is "Minimalistic Playing Cards", They set out for a simple deck that doesn't look suspicious, and they did so very successfully. Props to you HOPC.

I agree completely...from the very beginning it has been clear that this deck was MEANT to be simple. If that's not something you're interested in than you don't have to buy them. The deck's were made so you can use them whenever without people thinking it's some kinda crazy tricked out deck, as well as coming in some cool colors that you don't see that often in standard looking decks.

I would also like to say that the HOPC team has fantastic customer service, and I look forward to seeing what else they plan to release in the coming months!

Gah!!!!! I checked out as a guest because I thought it would be quicker, but at the end (after I completed my order) it told me that I wouldn't get any points because I didn't make an account. Is there anyway I can make an account and have these points still apply? It would have been nice if there was a notification about not receiving points if you checked out as a guest BEFORE I completed my order...

Me too, there's far too many sub-par decks coming out such as the one's jmrock listed. I would rather have an actual vintage bicycle deck as opposed to a limited reprint of a vintage design. I could understand if they printed more than 2500 of these decks because they could argue that they are offering an alternative to the standard bicycle deck for those who can't get ahold of the actual vintage designs and would like to preform or use these everyday. I see deck's I like to collect as art, and these just don't cut it in that department.

do you plan to have any packages that sell one of each deck? I only saw one selling a brick (4 of each decks), but considering shipping and all it's abit expensive for us international buyers... would love to get my hands on each of your decks (:

I am a little frustrated by the way things are being run by these guys, I emailed them back before the Brimstones were even sold out if there would be a package to get 1 of each deck and they told me there would be. Not only that but they said they would make an announcement when the Brimstone deck was almost sold out. Neither of these things happened. I am very annoyed by these guys at this point, I wanted to pick up all of these decks but now I'm considering not getting any and just not bothering with future CCC products. If they had just been honest and upfront with me from the beginning I wouldn't have any qualms, hell I would have just bought a Brimstone while it was in stock and picked up the others when they became available. I just don't like how it too often feels they are telling me what I want to hear rather than the truth.

I sent them an email asking for some more details about the cards and they replied with this:

"Sure thing! Here are some details about the Cards of Legend:

• Manufactured by Quality Playing Cards, Inc.
• 310gsm stock with smooth finish (glossy-ish)
• Poker size

We may do plastic cards in the future, but we don't have any specific plans for them just yet (we're going to start looking at samples next month). Please let me know if you have any other questions!
