t's a magic bar in Shanghai. You either know it because of that, or because you've seen images of the deck on the LPCC website.
I assume you can only pick it up at the magic bar. Maybe have to spend x amount and you get the deck? Kind of like what The Rarebit did for T11's Rarebit playing cards.
This is, of course, just an assumption.

A super handsome fellow named me posted about these when they came out. And it was non other than fancy pants Boyer  that found the link to the magic bar. I thought Don was doing the ole *wink wink* *nudge nudge*

Aw, you're makin' me blush!  (Bonus points if you can tell me the movie the quote is from!)

Lol Don!! Ok.. I give you the movie : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5D_QKY0_Bxk  ;)

Actually, this is a little embarrassing - I've been misquoting the line!  The line is supposed to be "Stop it.  I'm gettin' misty."  It's spoken by Mel Gibson playing "Carter" in the movie "Payback" - an excellent example of a revenge movie with a fair amount of film noir mixed in.  I might have seen that line in an ad for the movie - sometimes scenes get changed after the movie trailer is made and something you see in the clip might end up on the cutting room floor instead of in the movie.  Studios can usually get away with it if the lost clip is still in the spirit of the film itself rather than some radical, game-changing moment.

I did check the "Pulp Fiction" quotes at IMDB - the word "blush" doesn't appear in any of them!

But enough of my tangent...  :))

I was gonna go with Breakfast At Tiffany's

Online businesses live and die by SEO. A new market needs to be able to find a product to not only buy it but share it with their audience.

It's a form of  digital embossing. Basically you can cover a sheet minus the design or just aspects of the design. Car manufactures use the technique in about all in their product brochures. The coating visually  exaggerates the 3d effect and believe it or not the sheets will lay flat, however in no way will they fan well. Durability is not the best either.

USPCC offers embossed and smooth (dont mess with smooth for fans), then a couple paper stocks. Your going to be hard pressed to find a huge difference between custom prints.

LPCC has a PVC coating that last a bit longer, which some like and others don't.

Smooth Aladdins fan very nicely - that rule about smooth decks is mostly but not always true, especially now that designers with USPC get Magic Finish by default.

Trivia: burning PVC creates a toxic gas that's lethal to humans.  It's why it's no longer used for electrical conduit in New York, just for plumbing drains.  The city found this out the hard way during an electrical fire in a train station before the ban.  So if you get cards with that finish, don't burn them!

You stepped in it now. Hope you have a legal pad and some sort of  writing instrument handy cause Don will be by shortly to school you in the  differences between finish and coa... WAIT!!!    Don?

What have you done with Don, Fiddler?!

I really like the  indices and their layout.  Aces. Are really cool and I actually dig the parchment look for these. I am not a fan of the  little doodads on the back Corners. Look la bit like sparklers, I'm also not a fan of the skeletons. for me the skeletons distract and take away  from the old timey nautical feeling I like about the rest of the design.

Off Subject >> I never understood why people use their writing hand for a computer mouse? I like my left hand to be free to write when using a computer mouse in the other
If I stuck my mouse in my left hand the  right click left click would confuse my brain by becoming the opposite. Also.. what exactly are you doing on your computer that has you typing and "mousing" at the same time?

Here is an idea.. steroids, but just in your aikido arm.  Wait till your ninja arm has become substantially bigger than the other arm, throw on some spandex, perhaps a cape and legally change your name to "the Fiddler". Proceed to fight crime.

Now on to the cards.
Back design--  David Blaine's Gatorback riders they are craaaaazy nice.
Tuck box-- Gnostic decks from Conjuring arts/ Expert Playing Card Co/ Legends Playing Card company

and for handling.. meh. Don't get fooled by the marketing.

:-\ I'm sorry, but if I saw these, I would not be thinking Alice in Wonderland. Very confused as to how this deck ties into it.

I was wondering the same thing but it is a nice looking deck of cards.....
Yeah, how is this Alice in Wonderland? Aside from that the deck looks great! I am just really confused, I must need sleep!

I remember reading something about these cards and how they got their name a while back.

Tomas,  your resume of past work seems a tad intense.  Is all of that work you have completed?

That was the plays name.
I agree the name outside the context makes little to no sense , but if the deck hadn't already been created for reasons having nothing to do with Deckstarter.. It just wouldn't be Deckstarter now would it?

The design group http://turnstylestudio.com/work/detail/alice-in-wonderland created the cards for a school production of Alice in Wonderland. These cards were just one part of the project.

The full gist of it was that the post was dropped in "Deck Reviews!" as opposed to the correct board, "Playing Card Plethora".  I did indeed state that it wasn't a review, that it was an ad for your deck - which frankly we don't mind too much around here, since people promote playing cards here all the time.  We simply ask that they put them in the correct place.

Changes - please feel free to explain the changes you've made to your deck, I'm certain the members here would appreciate having them pointed out in detail.

Your "Birdman Special" is probably what in English would be better known as an "Early Bird Special", from the expression "The early bird catches the worm."  Birdman is a Hanna-Barbera cartoon superhero in the US, though on the most recent series in which he appears, "Harvey Birdman, Attorney at Law", he's more of a comic punch line, working at a law firm that specializes in cases that other H-B cartoon characters bring up against each other.  It's like how General Motors tried selling the Chevrolet Nova automobile in Mexico, completely neglecting the fact that "No va" means "doesn't go" in Spanish...

Birdman was also the name of  a crazy guy in Alcatraz prison, a contemporary rap artist, a former basketball player for the Miami Heat and the title  awarded to the winner of an ancient contest to collect the first egg of the season. It was held on some  island named Easter Isle, its that famous one  with all the  Rongo Rongo glyphs.. hey wait.

Also, I'm fairly certain  they speak english  where Tomas lives. I actually know a guy that lives in New York Ill ask him to make sure.. after he gets some rest. :P
