If you do decide to do that 'three deck package', then I'll definitely be looking to pick up a set. I love all your decks - brilliant work!

Hey, just to let you know that I'm still debating whether or not to get a set of Pirates - I haven't forgotten.

Hang on... Forgive me for being pedantic, but doesn't this thread belong in the Official Aether Discussions board, rather than the Playing Card Plethora?
This is assuming that you didn't have a specific reason to post it here - maybe you did have a reason?

Playing Card Plethora / Re: Tendril. Kickstarter. Saturday. Be there.
« on: February 05, 2012, 06:10:35 AM »
I pledged for 3 decks about an hour ago. I'd say it's easily worth it, even with the international shipping added on.
Also, I think I was the 65th pledger. So, that means a signed card! :D
I can't wait to get this deck in my hands, honestly. Any rough idea as to how long the cards will take once the Kickstarter finishes?

Oh, Alex stocks these? I might go check them out, see if I want to order a couple.
They look pretty intersting, for sure.

Thanks a lot for the translations! Very helpful. I like the way it gives the deck a little extra meaning.

Yeah, I would advise you check out the link that sxjy posted - it pretty much explains it completely.

Oh, I can hardly wait for this. Unfortunately, I'm likely to be asleep when it goes live. I'll be sure to pledge first thing in the morning though.

Gosh, this thread is going to make me jealous. I'm really interested in vintage decks.
The most vintage decks I've got are two Virginia Slims!

Playing Card Plethora / Re: Deck :: SKULKOR ::
« on: February 04, 2012, 05:42:42 PM »
I like the look of this deck so far! I might just have to pick one up. I especially enjoy the minimalist design of the tuckbox - it seems to be getting more common lately, much to my pleasure.
Also, I'm pronouncing the name like 'skulker', as in someone who skulks around. This is as opposed to annunciating the 'o' specifically. So, 'skull-kerr' rather than 'skull-k-or'. Am I pronouncing it right?

I just make sure that I wash my hands before touching the cards. Also, if I'm going to be using them I just make sure I don't bend them too far for too long.
As I'm a collector, I only open and use decks excessively if I have 3 or more of that deck, if they're very cheap or if I bought them used. For instance, my current regular use decks are a rider back, a Bee deck, and a deck of blue Virginia Slims. But still, I don't go mental even with those decks - I'm always gentle with them. I try to make decks last as long as possible.

I've been waiting for this for a while! You can be sure that I'll pledge for at least two - maybe more depending on the price.

Is there any way to buy these decks from that site?

This is a cool idea. I think everyone working on the group deck should have a Skype session soon.
I was actually about to suggest this. The great thing is that Skype offers a simple, quick and easy way of sharing files to the whole group.

Blimey... am I the only Discoursian to own an A. Bandit deck?  :o
I only got it a couple of weeks ago, and I'm unsure about whether or not to open it, so I can't say anything about the cards themselves. If I get enough people asking me, then I'll probably bite the bullet and open them, but for now I want to keep them sealed.

12 decks shipped to the UK in around 5 days for $15.00? how is that unreasonable?

Okay, maybe that's reasonable. But many of his decks are listed with $19 shipping for each deck. Maybe bulk purchases are a lot better value, but if I just wanted to get one deck from him then $19 is pretty crazy.

Once again, I'd go with Jaqk Cellars. I love that deck to death.

;D Someone who shares my love of the JAQK Cellars decks!
I would choose the JAQK Cellars without hesitation.

Just to remind you guys, you have to accept my contact request for me to be able to add you to the group chat.
Also, if possible, please put your Discourse username in your Skype nickname, or at least make it evident who you are, so we know who we're talking to. Thanks!

Acekings shipping is very reasonable as I live in the UK.
Really? The few times I checked out the shipping, it was very expensive.
But I usually buy from either pokerstud52 or fullboatdealer - they have very reasonable prices and shipping. Both very reliable.

I'm lucky because I don't live in a high humidity area. I really don't see there being much risk for my cards. For now I keep my decks in a box that I keep in my room. There isn't much or any sun exposure at all. And the temperature isn't too hot or too cold. Is what I'm doing alright? I just want to make sure that my cards don't get destroyed haha
I'm basically the same as you - humidity is in no way a problem where I live, and I keep them in a box under my bed currently. I know it means they aren't displayed nicely, but it keeps them pretty safe for the moment. The temperature is also pretty uniform there - it's not right next to the radiator, but it's not too cold either.
Also, there's very little chance of any kind of extreme weather conditions in the UK - the worst I've experienced in my lifetime that I can remember is an extremely mild earthquake (the house just wobbled a bit, and nothing was broken), and an unusual amount of snow (which would probably be a laughably little amount to many of you).

Also, how will these be sold? Will they be sold through your site?
And will you be keeping any in reserve for competitions/giveaways?

47
I bought a yellow rider back and a burgundy rider back about 3 years ago for a couple of dollars. I haven't seen any around recently, though. Have they become rare?

48
Try prepending your topic with [ISO] it will better attract people interested in selling/trading decks.
Also, this thread should go in the 'Sales, Trades & ISOs' board. Thanks.

49
Yeah, thanks Sabacc. I've put the pokerstud52 offer up there.

Playing Card Plethora / Re: How much are steamboat999 decks worth?

Just found a store in the uk selling these and picked some up for myself, £4 per deck or $6.30 roughly, I dont know how much int shipping would be though and they only have red in stock. Cant find them anywhere else on the net so I'm pretty pleased. They only have 2 left in stock according to the site so if your interested go get them..... here's the link:
No! The most important part is missing! D:
Would you mind posting the link again? xD Or, is it bicycleplayingcardsupplies.com ? Because I've been looking for a while for some UK sites stocking them, and I think that's the only one I can find.
