Rough timing for those of us in Asia, but worth waking up for, I think! =)

I'm looking for 1 "Black" Reserve Note Screen Printed Poster, by Jackson Robinson/Kings Wild Project. I was super sad to miss them and now they're all sold out on the site, so if anyone has one they're willing to part with (mint condition if possible please), I'd love to buy it off you!

The minimum I'll pay is, of course, the retail cost of $100. I realize these were very limited though, so I'm willing to pay a premium over that - please contact me directly and we can negotiate!

The poster will need to ship to me here in Hong Kong, unless we can conclude a deal within the next week, in which case, we might be able to get it shipped to my wife, who is traveling to NYC next week.

Thanks in advance guys!

PS: If you don't have one/are not selling yours, but know where I can obtain one, please let me know! =)
You MUST include the following info with your post: Minimum money offered, quantity, item/s you are looking for, what country you are in (for shipping purposes).

Hi Don, offering a USD option is already on the list to see if we can make it work, next week. It's not as simple as adding a button unfortunately, we've got to look to see if our accountancy package can accept a third currency and still work OK, and we need to make sure it's financially viable with our processors (Amazon won't be a problem though).

Regarding US fulfilment - it has been considered at length (a couple of months) ago, but for a multitude of reasons we won't be doing it this time. The main one for the moment is that our prices to the 'big 4' outside of Europe - US, Canada, NZ & Australia - are already pretty good and we're working with Royal Mail to get them down a little further in time for the pre-release. We'll see.

Thanks for your feedback.

How about something in Asia? Maybe you don't have enough customers/demand out here, but if you do, it'd be nice to have better pricing on shipping/faster deliveries! =P

Wow.
I keep staring at the noses!
As someone with a big snout myself I find these faces strangely attractive...

Gotta admit that the noses (or what appears to me to be the lack thereof) are a bit distracting to me! Love the backs though!

Holy crap that's one of the coolest boxes I've ever seen for a deck of cards! Don't know if it's even right to call it a "tuck case"! When do we get to see the deck itself?!

My 2 cents on the indices: While it's true that the indices aren't easy to read, let's be honest - if you're going to play a game of poker (or other card game), you have literally thousands of different decks to choose from, many of which have very clear indices... Most likely if you got this deck, you got it for the art, and it might just be enough to appreciate how nice it looks?

I mean you could make a philosophical argument about how if it's a playing card you should be able to play with it (ie indices should be clear), but I think from a practical perspective, one could easily make the argument for form over function in some cases such as this...

Guys -- I guess I wasn't clear-- I scored blue bloods gilded.

Wow.... So are you gonna actually open them and fan 'em to make sure they don't stick? If so, post a picture! =)

I closed out the survey. Thanks again guys. I got a lot of valuable feedback from it and applied it to the deck. The color schemes finally figured themselves out in a way that I think everyone will agree works and enjoys. Stay tuned for more pictures and updates as the KS date comes closer.

Curious how the results of the survey turned out!

PS: Cool of you to take the survey in the first place...=)

If these were given out at an event- wonder if any will show up on ebay? I did a search but didn't find anything.

For a souvenir deck like that, odds are that most are sitting on display on someone's deck in Redmond, Washington...

On the other hand, MS interns should know how to use ebay...=P

Looks fantastic so far.

The tuckbox looks AMAZING! Like everyone else though, I'm curious to see who the printer will be...

Awwww, what happened to all the nice yellow detailing on the back?

I'm with Afrank8 what happened to the yellow Jackson? The card backs had much better depth and eye appeal with the yellow/blue combination.

I'm saving the metallic gold and navy backs for the limited edition version of this deck.

Oooh limited edition! I agree that the gold and navy version looks vastly superior! How do I get my hands on a few of those?!

Another amazing deck! I've pledged the most I've ever pledged on a playing card project, and I'm even considering bumping my pledge up further!

Great job so far Lee! Can't wait to see what else you have in store for us!!

Can't wait for the Army deck!

In the meantime, any update/further info on timing and how to get hold of the Hive decks?

143
Can't wait! =)

Just to clarify - these were never on KS, were they? I thought I saw KS mentioned earlier in the thread...

A couple of our members were talking about buying this display in another thread. One of the places you can get it is Collectable Playing Cards
$129.95 + shipping of $4 to my home. (didn't buy) Shipping seemed really low. USPS.com price for package of this size is $16-$24.
It holds 60 decks and is approximately 31"x20". It's 100% acrylic. I'm sure the display weights almost nothing, but 60 decks is something else. The price seems high to me considering it's all plastic. It has an inherent flaw as well. The acrylic(plexiglass) front is only supported on the bottom and top rails. The sides are not supported so that it can slide back and fourth to open the case. Large pieces of plexiglass bow over time if not fully supported. The plastic hangers on the back do not impress me either.

So the question is, as Don would say, if I can build a better mouse trap.
If I can build a better display for about the same cost or less. Would anybody be interested in buying one?
If so, how many decks would you prefer it to hold?
Black-Stained wood?

I'd definitely be interested! Yeah, black stained wood would probably be good to start and you can offer more colors later as demand picks up! I'd say maybe 6x5 decks? But really that's just a guess... Do a poll! =)

145
I've been meaning to track my collection via Excel since I started, but never quite got round to it...

One problem I have which I haven't figured out yet - anyone have a good/neat way to get picture(s) of the decks into a spreadsheet?

The Conversation Parlor / Re: Playing Card Collection Displays (?)
« on: July 21, 2014, 10:52:45 AM »
Very nice displays, shadow boxes do seem to work real well. My display project is still in the works, I have a 5' x 6' space of bare wall next to my desk reserved for it. Originally planned for my Zippo collection, now I'm trying to design something to display both my lighters and decks.

I made a very small lighter display early on using a hinged frame from Micheal's, again very inexpensive with their sales and coupons. I also used a piece of PVC 1/4 round for the "Shelves", a couple bucks at your local hardware store and spray painted black. The thickness of a deck is very close to that of a lighter so this should work well. I'm sorry that the pic has lighters in the display rather than decks, but I got my 1st 2 decks yesterday, lol

Very simple, just thought I would share for anyone looking for ideas.

...to be continued.

Amazing looking! I'm gonna have to get something like that done in my place... If I ever have enough wall space... Hong Kong is rough!
