Playing Card Plethora / Re: 150 decks of Absolut Vodka Playing cards

What the dick.

On a side note, 500 clams for a gross of cards +10 is an INSANE deal, considering the Absolut deck goes for about $30.
Props to the guy that snagged this for $15 shipping. (wat)

...Yeah. That listing's fishier than Pike Place.

Some sellers on E-bay don't know about values on their items.I bet that guy is happy that somebody bought that gross right away.I got tools on E-bay for my telecom work at pennies on the dollar, because the seller didn't know what that tool is for or described properly in the title.Same thing can apply on that auction.

jackson - if you can get MagikFingera to buy one of your decks, you got something. he is like the CEO of Tighwads International Shipping.
he is the pulse of international shipping.

I can't believe you all don't see it? the back works so well. i've seen lots of backs and normally "1 back backs" don't look good and are a distraction. this back is not a distraction. http://a.trionfi.eu/WWPCM/.................... he doesn't need to change anything.

also, don't change your border corners. can i call them that? like "fluff items". i like badges and ribbons. don't change the border corners either; it goes well with the "1 way back"

I would like to see more court cards. noticed your king was different on each side. keep it up with that differences in the court cards. i think that is the future. especially if you can tell a story within the court cards.

food for thought. any more quotes from Abraham Lincoln or Mark Twain makes my middle finger get a bonner. seems like "Really" is the new catch phrase. and have you noticed the word "Basically" is used.....

Ahem...slow down... and maybe try some Decaf...

Playing Card Plethora / Re: Bicycle Zombie playing cards
« on: September 08, 2012, 10:56:49 PM »
I am assuming these are designed by the USPCC (the only reason they would put 'zombie free since 1885', other wise that is quite witty piss taking). If they are indeed USPCC, it's just another example of the USPCC trying to get their share of the boom in custom decks... Remember the stickman deck? Or tragic royalty deck? They aren't getting the idea that for a deck to be successful you need a theme/concept - and you can't rely on the Bicycle brand to sell your deck.

That being said, if this deck is USPCC it will probably be cheaper than the other custom decks and for that reason I'll probably pick one up - $5 won't break the bank.

If these aren't USPCC designed then I won't get them. It's one thing for the USPCC to slap their name on something and hope that it sells (Big Gun decks, anyone?) but it's another thing for some unknown designer to try to jump on the bandwagon with a gimmicky deck.

It looks okayish... More of a novelty than a 54-works-of-art deck.

I think those Big Gun Decks looked pretty cool. Now if USPCC is not good at marketing a historical deck reprint, that's another story...I wish they will follow trough the whole series.

Cheers, JJ!

Finally was ahead of the curve and like utter picked up two of each and the deck at the lower price... I'm glad Tannens was honorable... Seems as thought they quickly shot the deck to $35... So much for honor...

Actually the deck is now $50 ... :o

5
That Special Edition Deck looked very interesting, but at $34.95 at Tannens...I think I'm gonna pass.

@J.J.  Hahaha... Indeed...

@Nate... Thank you for taking such an interest in some of my posts... It was nice to reminisce... If you would like any of the decks, please do PM me... However, it would take more than a week or two of allowance to purchase any of them...

Nate, on a more serious note, if you honestly don't see a difference in the Dog deck topic and some of my past posts that you've brought up, then I seriously don't know what to say to you... Strike that, I never know what to say to you anyway... Your inconsistency when forming an opinion on a deck has no rhyme nor reason... When opposed, you flounder... And your posts- let's just say, I was going to give you the benefit of the doubt before clicking on the $1 Dog Deck... But seriously did you see the Disney Princess deck on USPCC as well... I'm curious how it handles... Please let us know, given your vast expertise and knowledge...

HA1 HA! HA! Again!!!!

Jmrock, you made my day, this is to funny!!!!

Since this is what it's come to... Let me also share another neat deck that is manufactured by the USPCC... It can also be found on their site along with the important Dog edition cards... These are about as important if not more important than the entire post opened up to discuss the Dog cards... Let me know if I should start a new topic for the Sponge Bob edition or the Coca Cola deck as well...

HA! HA! HA! Very funny!!!!!

Playing Card Plethora / Re: Seasons Playing Cards - SOLD OUT!
« on: May 03, 2012, 01:32:09 PM »
I have noticed that on many sites California residents are charged a sales tax while other states aren't (i.e. D&D, seasons)...

D&D are from California, so they need to charge sales tax for orders in California.
I'm never charged sales tax from Amazon for example.

Hi!

Quick question:

Everybody/anybody in USA, got charged SALES TAX?
I live in California and I was charged sales tax.
I saw on the tracking info that they are shipping from Ohio...
I think you are supposed to charge sales tax only for states where you have a physical presence, like a warehouse, store, etc.

Thanks, JJ.

@Nathan: can you pleeeease stop posting bullshit!!!

Hmm... this in a post that was basically an empty, repetitive rant that contained 17 exclamation marks.  Classy.

Yeah, I'm getting a bit annoyed at how long this is taking but it's not like I'm waiting at the door every morning.  When they come, they come.

Empty, repetitive rant????

What are you talking about??? Empty???

Yes empty if you did not get your decks!

Cheers, JJ.

Dude, can you stop posting your "wisdom" about buying playing cards??

When you are going to pay yourself for them, maybe you would see a difference...and not be so lenient on some practices in the custom cards area.

And BTW, CCC sucks at  customer service...I will never buy any deck made by them...Brimstone( a really nice deck ) was enough for me!!!

Another thing, they are a whole lighter blue than on the Kickstarter page, so
they kinda sucks!!!

First of all I'm not using my wisdom, I'm just trying to help out.
Secondly, I do pay for my own decks. I spend hours gaining 5$/hour babysitting 3 kids ages 1, 3 and 6. I also weed people's gardens and do other small jobs. I am not lenient on some practices in the playing card area, all I'm saying is that it's tough for a company run by 1 or 2 people to take care of 1000+ orders. And it seems natural that if you pay more you get your order quicker. Doesn't it? Now I don't want to get into a full-scale argument about this. Sure, they don't have a good customer service, but they are doing as much as they can and it's no reason to insult them because of this.

It is NO excuse, you do a business, you need to deliver in a reasonable amount of time!( the best would be fast ).

Not having communication for a month or so, sucks!

The guys at CCC really need to up their customer service skills!

Another thing, Brimstone was supposed to be a 2500 run, but they print 5000, and the uncut sheets were "sold out" at the Kickstarter ending...but still they are for sale for sale on their website!

Hard to trust this guys!!!!

You can have cool decks but if you don't respect your customer, then I'll pass!!!!

@Nathan: can you pleeeease stop posting bullshit!!!

Thanks JJ.

I'm in the same boat, except, my email just said "your order disappeared"...nothing more. I freaked, so I emailed them asking if there was to be more of the email lol. They said yes and that my order shipped. :t11:

So, going forward I guess you'll never accuse Card-Shark of not having a sense of humor...  :))

Don, since you are in New York, and probable you will receive them on Monday, can you please tell us how they look and handle?

Thanks, JJ.

I'm curious what happened with the Skulkor Deck release...

Wasn't supposed to be delivered early April?

I did not buy any on the pre-order, because I didn't like their marketing approach and their vagueness  surrounding the company, where they ship from, etc.

So, my questions are:

1)Anybody get them yet?
2)How they look and feel ( if you get them )?
3)Where they ship from?

Thanks JJ.

They said that pre-orders will be shipped right after the launch on April 15.

Any of you guys and girls who pre-order got a shipping notification?

Thanks, JJ.

I got the shipping confirmation yesterday !
Re : your order disappeared !!

Hi,
we just would like to inform you that we witnessed one of the greatest miracles in the world!
Believe it or not, your order magically disappeared from our desk. Completely!!! Just a few post stamps, a magic spell and poof... the envelope was gone.
Now comes the interesting part: if everything works well this envelope should reappear directly in your post box in five to ten days.

HA!HA! I got the same shipping confirmation today....
The only bad thing, it does not include a tracking number....

Thanks JJ.

If i ordered this cards and i'm from the U.S. how long would it take for me to get the cards ?

Probably US orders will be shipped from New York.

I could be wrong here, but since card-shark.de is located in Germany, I don't think they'll be shipping from New York, seeing as how they're an ocean apart and all that...  Their terms of use are all written in German as well, meaning I don't think they have any operations on US soil.

On the other hand, if they do ship from New York, I'll have them practically by midweek, since I'm also in New York!  :))

From their website:

"Orders from the USA or Canada are - if possible - shipped out directly from our Card-Shark USA depot in New York to reach you fast, save and sound."

Here is the link:

I think they are looking great....the only thing is they are not celebrity, like D&D, Ellsionist, T11, or such...

Tell me you never heard of card-shark.de?  They're bigger than you think.  In Europe they're freakin' huge.  Check out the website - you don't know what you're missing.

You are right Don, they are big and somehow my post got cut and I didn't check it out after...
The thing that was supposed to end my phrase was:"or else they would be sold out in a matter of hours".

Thanks, JJ.

Yo lance,

I'm still a "hater". I think the cards look like they come from a novelty deck. The face cards looks similar to a poker deck I have. Wassup wid dat shiat?

Do you really need to talk like that???
That makes you "cool"?
Obviously from your profile picture you are not a "wigga", so how are you defining yourself?
 ;D ;D ;D

Cheers, JJ.
