So a friend of mine who knows about my enthusiasm for playing cards sent a registered letter to the President of USPCC, telling him about how I'm the company's biggest fan and asking him if he'd send me a witty letter acknowledging such (basically as a unique Christmas gift idea for me). This was the reply.

"some additions to your collection enclosed"
:D :D :D :D reveal!

Oh, nothing too ridiculous. A couple of the 130 decks, a Zombie, a Club 808 Joker deck, the Craft Beer deck, and one of the 2008 election decks. A couple there that I didn't have, so all in all, an awesome reply!

Not bad, all things considered. Cool letter!

For the Win!
Nicely done, all the way around. Cheers to your friend who came up with the idea. :)

I love this!

law_kid - I like your image, but I hated this letter from USPCC. Will they ever go back to 1000 deck runs? Can your friend ask Mr. Slaughter since you're in the loop.

From what I know of the situation, it's very unlikely. The cost per deck is prohibitively high and such short runs aren't considered profitable enough by USPC to make it worth their while. If you're willing to throw enough money at them and/or have a rep like David Blaine, sure, but otherwise, don't expect 1,000-deck print runs to return as a regular thing. Besides, there's other companies out there doing quality work with minimum runs that short and even shorter. As you well know, MPC will make a run of as small as a single deck!

1,000 deck runs are back per an email I received early last month.

I guess they felt they were losing too much business to other printers that allowed such short runs...
