Happy Holidays!

Well, judging from the Google Play and Apple App Store logos, I'd say it's a smartphone app...

Patience is a virtue.

Our prototypes are in from MPC... they look great! (Of course the tucks will have foiling and embossing.)
Thanks and keep pipping.

Patience is a virtue.

Understood.  When's the last time you saw a patient twenty-something?  Because that's the bulk of the collector market - guys in their late teens and their twenties.

Extended teaser campaigns can backfire, and badly.  Theory11 did that for their initial Monarchs release - they teased the hell out of it, hyping it to the point that it sounded better than breathing.  Then when the cards came out, they were a lot more lackluster than initially promised, for a variety of reasons.  I don't know how strong their initial sales were, but around here, they took a drubbing for it.  The deck was a decent deck, which is why it's still around today, but it didn't live up to the hype.  Since then, their campaigns have been a lot more simple - a few photos/images within two weeks of release, then the deck comes out, period, no song-and-dance routine, no fireworks.  People seem to like it better that way.

While patience is a virtue, t's also true that familiarity breeds contempt.  Don't give your audience a chance to get that familiar with your product before you release it!

Thanks for that Don!

We've also be working on an alternate deck that has more traditional poker cards. Here it is attached. Personally I like it better than the Golden Horde version.
In terms of launch date, we are projecting a late February date.

Thanks!

I like the artwork overall.  I'd like the indices better without that detail under it - it makes the card seem smaller/more crowded with it there.

I like the art on these as well. I also agree that the indices embellishment cause a little clutter look there. I suggest moving the embellishment down just a touch so that the tip of the embellishment is parallel with the bottom most point of the heart rank indicator on the face of the card. That little bit of extra negative space between the indices and the embellishment will help distinguishing between the two. Seems like a minor concern but it can really help with quick glance readability.

Curious if the Q on the queen indices will be narrowed a touch in the final product, it appears to be quite a bit wider than the K and J as is. With such wonderful art I'd love to see that adjustment made adding that extra polish. I'm loving the border on the courts by the way, fantastic. The pip design is also quite nice. I think this is going to be a great deck!  :D

Hi there.

I think the faces are pretty cool. Can you tell us which company the cards are going to be printed with?

YOu want to see some white here on your side of box.  You don't want that gold border leaching over to the front.  I can tell by your BackOfCard you want a white border.

You know that's just a computer rendering, right?  :))  The real box won't look exactly like that.

Took a quick look at the project.  It's very ambitious.  Some might even say overly ambitious.

The two decks - either deck by itself would have made for a great project.  But running a two-deck project of this nature for a 20K goal is asking for an uphill battle.  In your shoes, I would have chosen one deck to be the primary deck, probably the Golden Horde deck since it's the more colorful of the two, then used the other as a stretch goal.

Augmented reality?  Dude - it's not Pokemon Go!  Why would you bother with such a gimmick that will be so quickly forgotten?  Anyone who even bothers to look will look once or twice, then promptly forget about it and never use the AR feature again.  It doesn't really do much to enhance the cards or any kind of game play - it's informative at best and as such could have been easily summarized in an ad card.  It seems like a waste of time, effort and resources to make an ordinary deck of playing cards with augmented reality features.

The decks have a good look to them. I wish all the best in your kickstarter campaign. I agree with Don about the augmented reality shtick, an ad card is better for me. Having waited for more than a few self fulfilled decks, waited a long time for them, I lean toward the side of caution and wait for a while before I back a campaign that is self fulfilled. I'm curious why you chose to self fulfill rather than using a mailing service or fulfillment center. I hope it wasn't a choice like, use a fulfillment center or augment the reality of the deck with a smart phone app.
