Title: The biggest playing card purchases of my life and why that's awesome for you
Post by: xela on November 25, 2011, 05:07:58 AM
So today I dropped a load of money on D&D's latest deck (kind of, I got a brick).

I also dropped close to $1,000 on Ellusionist. I love that company, and seeing as how they are the reason I stumbled into this community in the first place I don't mind the purchase. However, I have nowhere to even store the items I got.

When my orders arrive, I will be selling Infinity decks at a heavily reduced cost, as well as reduced cost Pure Smokes which I know a lot of you have been holding off on because of the price tag. This will be your chance to get it for much less.

What's in it for me? Making some of the money back for my own purchases of Infinity decks and Pure Smoke itself, as well as receiving some LTD decks and Black Ghosts 1st Editions.

This isn't my last purchase. With any luck, I'll be buying a ton of T11 stuff tomorrow to stock up on White Centurions. I don't care about those guys very much, and will be reselling 100% of what I buy for somewhere along the lines of half price of what they sell their stuff for.

I wanted to get some Black Crowns for you guys as well to sell at a reduced cost but that didn't end up going to well!

So here is what will be up for sale in my personal "store" in the T/S/ISO board within a week or two:

Fulton decks
Infinity decks
Pure Smokes
D&D IAOCP books
(hopefully) Random T11 products (probably Monarchs & Sentinels)
+ Bonus decks & Vortex swag with every purchase.

This is one of those things that I like to call a triple-win. The big companies get their profit, I get my collection looking good, and you guys get awesome discounts that simply don't exist anywhere else, and never will again.

So save some of your money if you are still in need of the items listed above.  :)

i officially love you alex!!!! you should make some shirts with the vortex backs on it, id buy one, so i can use the vortex wearing a vortex shirt. AND THINKING OF THIS I HAD AN AWESOME IDEA YOU'D LOVE ALEX!!!! make a shirt of the jokers, one with the reveal and a normal one (without the reveal), sell them in a bundle with the dress-code download and wear the t-shirts out and force the 6 of diamonds and do dress-code to reveal their card (but fail at revealing their card in the pack and then do dress-code)

Thats awesome!! How are you going to deal with the demand?

I would love to pick up some of the Infinity and some of the bonus decks/vortex swag. I'm sure there will be many others in the same position? Is it a first come first serve type of deal?

Kudos to you Alex, you just keep making this forum and community better with stuff like this, you constant presence in the forums, the growth of the forums (new design type forum thats coming), and many other ways. Its very admirable and I know you'll go far in what your doing. It shows how much it means to you.

Cheers!

Wasn't to impressed with the Fulton deck TBH.  I don't like the whole '1 odd pip' thing but I might go on a binge when you get your stuff... we'll see.

Nope. I had three orders for $150 in my cart, went to get my wallet, came back 30 seconds later and they were sold out.

I got 24 Monarchs and two Brown Wynn's as a result. Woop.

6, Why would you need 8? there not limited.

If they're not limited, why would he need even six? The point is that for whatever reason, he thinks he may need more.

Get eight if you need eight, get six if you need six. Either way, you'll be getting them cheaper from me if you're willing to wait a bit to get the package. :)

PayPal is all I CAN take considering I don't have a store set up that can take credit cards. However, feel free to send me your credit card numbers. I promise I won't use them for buying multiple $475 purchases at E.

Seriously though, set one up.

Anything that you can link a PayPal with works in this scenario. @JDsob, you can always wire money directly into my account, but it will be up to you to account for the fees so that the final value deposited is the price for the decks.

Also I changed around the discounts, which makes things slightly more expensive (by a few dollars) for a very small amount of people, but makes things way cheaper for a huge amount of people. :)

@Brown_Baggs: I want to do this annually, at the very least, and really get more items in stock at lower prices if this sale is successful. I'll announce the day once the entire list of goods is 100% finalized. Stay tune to our Facebook.

Hint: Bulk discounts are great and will make things quite cheap. However, things will be even cheaper for you if you've been posting a lot, if you've tweeted the Vortex link, and if you've pledged on Kickstarter. The savings difference isn't 25% here, but it's a small amount that definitely doesn't hurt, and it's an additional way of saying thank you for having done those things.

http://www.kleimo.com/random/name.cfm suggests "Lesley Mcvoy".  I like it.

Anyway, Alex I take it we can send you the money via PayPal without having an account?  All you have to do is email out an invoice.  I've stated before, I will not make another PayPal account as long as I live.  I don't think I'm unjustified in saying that if comes down to them losing money or you paying money you don't rightfully owe, they may attempt to steal your money, threaten you and your family, threaten to steal your property, threaten to send people to your home, break several laws and not stop unless you get an actual Government body to step in and force them to stop.  Then they'll break the terms of the agreement between the Government, themselves and me.. err.. 'you' but by they stage you're just so happy to get them off your back that you really just don't feel like suing.  I mean, you're only 17 and frankly never want to have to deal with them again.

Seriously, Alex, if I was you, I'd just set up a worldpay or moneybookers (Skrill) account to deal with your stuff.  That's up to you, though; will you be sending out invoices so we can pay via paypal without an account.

PayPal is awful in every sense of the word, but it's time saving.

I guess the no PayPal issue is solved, then. I'll look into Skrill after this sale. :)

If you're planning to use them, get more.  I am using them and the handling on them is amazing.  The designs are pretty nice as well - custom courts, pips, backs, jokers, everything.

@Alex - DUDE, massive sale!  I have to get a look at that!
