Greetings - As some of you may have noticed I am a newbie to the wonderful world of Playing Card collecting. As such I feel a bit like the one legged man in a jackass kicking contest - would someone please enlighten me as to the best places to know about new or up coming deck releases? As always, many thanks in advance for the assistance.

No worries, Ron. We all have to start somewhere. The Discourse forum is a pretty good place as someone will always create a new topic in the Playing Card section when news about a new deck (whether it be Kickstarter, company specific, etc.) is out. You could also subscribe to that specific company's newsletter or Facebook for their latest news. As well, Kardify.com is a pretty amazing place to get new news about decks as they are getting some really amazing exclusive previews on upcoming decks. I'm not sure if there's one consolidated place that will provide every single news about new decks for you though.

I'll second Brendan's comments. Most new decks on KS will be listed in Playing Card Plethora (http://www.playingcardforum.com/playing-card-plethora/)
Kardify.com (http://www.kardify.com/) / Kardify.com facebook (https://www.facebook.com/kardify) is also a great place to get news about upcoming decks. Those guys seem know about everything, even before the designers do.

Agreed, but to be fair, there is another card forum out there... United Cardists (http://unitedcardists.com).
Is Scott still active at Tuckcase (http://tuckcase.com)? He was another news site covering the business.

1st off, Welcome Ron!
There is and endless amount of info out there, both good and bad, but as mentioned Discourse has a great mix of members in every facet of the hobby, lots of info with lots of helpful people...good place to hang ;)
Thanks for including Kardify in the list guy, very honored :)
Don in answer to your question on Tuck Case, Scott is actually a partner at Kardify now, an awesome addition to the staff and a great card guy. All of Tuck Case's content was migrated over to Kardify because there was no way we were just going to let it disappear. If you visit TuckCase.com there is a bit of additional info, but Tuck Case will be coming back in a new format soon ;)

Another way is through social media. Searching Instagram for #playingcards will give you a good idea of what the "new hotness" is also most upcoming decks are teased with this tag.
Another idea is search params. Google "playing cards deck new upcoming release" and then use the "search tools" menu in google to narrow the results to past week/ 24hrs to get your learn on.
