Use of really bad font is kind of detracting. Drawings look more like incomplete sketches. Not feeling it.

One of the great things about Kickstarter is that an artist can bring their dream to the public and make it a reality.

One of the awful things about Kickstarter is that a bad artist can force their dream on the public and hope we're blinded enough to reality to think their work is good.

The worst thing about Kickstarter is that some people are that blind and do back such projects, occasionally to the point that they get funded, encouraging more bad artists to follow suit...

Don't be so sure.  I've seen worst than this reach their goal.  It helps to have a low goal.

Don, I never wish failure on anyone who starts a project, and so I wish this guy well also... however, I have to agree with Troy.

Even if a zero was removed from the end of the goal, even then it would fail.

The artist of this deck is a 100% failure rate on his previous projects (not playing card related)... and despite having low funding goals, his previous 3 projects picked up a combined total of ONE backer.

With a track record like that, it's guaranteed to be an uphill struggle for this project.

Yeah, looking over the history, you're probably right.  Dare to dream, eh?

I thought I'd take another look at the Kickstarter page to see if there was any progress... and the 1 backer is still there.

And so as of now, this is the most successful campaign that the creator has had so far.

Despite the creator calling it " the most desired deck of playing cards ever produced", I think it's pretty safe to bet one's house on it that the deck will not be produced (via this campaign, anyway).

The artwork, is strange... looks like something that kids have drawn up. I don't understand the man-wolf thing with a 10lb kettlebell in it's mouth. No idea what it's supposed to symbolise or represent. The deck's name is even more weird -- the ISHT deck.

I'm guessing that he asked for one word opinions on the design, and he just took the most common answer, and rearranged the letters.

Clearly, not a serious project at all :(

"Isht" is a synonym for a cuss word spelled with the same letters. Kids starting hearing radio DJs play the cuss words backward when there was explicit language. In fact, some rappers started using it even in the explicit versions of their songs.

It still drives me nuts to see some of the awful grammar that some project creators use, completely undermining any efforts they may have made to appear professional.  Even when you're trying to push an isht deck on the public with standard faces and child-like art.

Nice use of the word "isht", Don.  ;)

This is a weird one.
