Here is my and my son Tommy's LEGO minifig collection so far.

that's really cool. did you get them all from play-sets?
sounds cliche but my little brother loved his lego sets growing up and starting next year he's going to college for engineering.

It's so fun when we can use our kids as excuses for something we really want to be doing. :)
I've sure used mine as an excuse to put a few little sets together. The parts are a lot more interesting than they were back in my day.....and I think the mini figs are great.

Tommy must think he's got the world's best mom! He's probably right!
I often wear a green, hooded, zip-front, all-cotton sweatshirt to this day because my mom bought me one just like it for my eleventh birthday, along with a bunch of Star Wars figures I played with a lot as a kid. Things like that, a kid remembers well into adulthood.

A lot of them came from the boxed sets. But a fair amount also came from poly bags (the collectible minifigure series).

Exactly! Though Tommy loves it as much as I do.
Don, Tommy is 11 and is a fun kid. I haven't quite got him into collecting decks, but he loves gaff cards. He snatches out the gaffs from each deck I open. He has quite the collection of gaff cards now that he keeps in his Pokemon card boxes. He also has a big Pokemon card collection.

My sons been into Lego's ever since he could work with the Duplo's. He's in college now and he still hase his assempled Star Wars ships and whatnot displayed in his room. As mentioned, some great memories that will last a lifetime :D
Very cool collection, I still love the figures from the Lord of the Rings!

AndreCamp, don't worry, you'll get there. Tommy and I have been working on ours for years. Sometimes I'll buy a Lego set just because it has cool minifigs. We have a big box that we use as the Lego brick graveyard for all the unused and lonely bricks.
