Hello! I'm a girl and I'm also a part of AetherCards so I'll always be here :D
-
Our male to female ratio is 5:1 which is pretty big but at the same time that means we have about 10 girls on this forum as of now.

Well I'm actually none of those things. I'm just the support staff for the company because I know Alex personally and know every detail of the product and the company. But I think cards are an awesome art form and as I spend more time being part of Aether I become more and more interested :)
-
Maybe you will be all of that soon, cause you are now interesting in cards more than other people.
I do magic for 5 years but just strarted collecting last 2-3 months. The more I`m in this community, the more I`m crazy about cards
-
I'm glad that the card community can help you get more and more into what you love!
-
The more the better, lets hope the females get involved as much as us males.
-
yea one thing i noticed is that not a lot of women do magic. does anyone know why? i really would like to be able to have a girl magician to practice with.

It's because it's an evolving/growing hobby that is still classified as "nerdy." Look at videogaming - it was a boy's club up until around 2000, when it began getting more mainstream.
Many women picked up gaming to "impress" men, and then when it became the normal thing for a girl to do, others weren't clouded by a social stigma if they wanted to get into it.
As time goes on, I expect more women to enjoy this hobby as well.
-
ok so basicly they think they are to good. that works.
-
If you count casual games, the average gamer is a 45 year old woman. Really.

Farmville and Cityville will never, ever, qualify as games.
Not in my book.
-
glad im not the only one alex.
-
I'm interesting in Magic trick because I just like to do it.
Com'on who doesn't like magic?
I don't understand either while very few girls are into this.

I'd love to agree but I'm a Games Design student and yeah, there's no real basis on which to discount them. We just have to say that they are among the worst games ever made.
