Title: Hey, from a poker playing deck designer
Post by: MikeLambert on November 18, 2013, 09:29:34 PM
Hey Everyone,

I just realized I should have introduced myself here before posting in the Design and Development forum.

My name is Mike Lambert and I'm a video game designer / developer from Toronto, Canada. (Yes the city with the crack smokin mayor that's all up in the news these days).  Aside from designing video games I'm also a graphic artist and used to be a poker player (haven't had the time to play in over a year).  I've always had an interest in the designs of playing cards, dice, and poker chips.  Now with access to sites like Kickstarter it's actually a possibility for someone like me to get a design out there and into the hands of others.  That's pretty exciting for me.

Anyway, I just posted my first completed deck design over in the Design and Development forum (The NOX Deck - Now on Kickstarter (http://aethercards.com/discourse/design-development/the-nox-deck-now-on-kickstarter/))  I hope you guys like it!

So that's my little introduction.  Just wanted to say, hey!

Mike.

If your deck is already launched on KS, you can make a thread dedicated to it in Playing Card Plethora (just make sure one doesn't already exist). That board gets way more foot traffic.

Welcome to the boards!

We're glad to have you here, Mike.  We're mostly a friendly bunch, and we're careful not to break the skin when we bite!  :))

Feel free to ask if you have any questions or need help with something.

I already merged his topic with the one on the PCP.
