Title: Deck Review - Massa Playing Cards by Casino Playing Cards LTD
Post by: john on November 07, 2011, 11:26:09 PM
*Note this is a non USPCC deck*

Box: The front and back of the box look exactly the same with the back design, the inside of the AoS and a gold foil box at the bottom that says, "Casino Playing Card LTD". The bottom has a barcode along with, "Casino Playing Cards LTD Made in USA". The top of the box has the 4 pips, *2 of which are covered by the black seal*. The sides say, "Casino Quality" "Linen Finish".

Cards: The deck comes with 52 standard face cards *carta mundi standard not USPCC standard* 2 identical jokers, and an information card with their phone number. For whatever reason i tend to write these reviews when i don't have the cards on me to describe them to the fullest extent, so i will post pictures of the ace/jokers within 24 hours. The face cards have slightly darker blue/yellow/red ink, the diamonds and hearts have the darker red "security" ink. The back is a perfectly centered 1 way back, the back is mirrored but not reversed which makes it a one way deck. *will post pictures later to show what i mean*. The back is just gold pips spread out on a black backround, the pips are divided into little boxes that separate them *will post pics later*.

Stock: The stock is a somewhat thin stock, it feels slightly thinner then a USPCC casino grade stock.

Finish: The finish is a linen finish but not one you would expect from USPCC, it is something you have never handled before, at first the cards are somewhat slippery but after a couple shuffles they are alot less slippery. The finish is a really smooth finish* referring to how easy the cards spread/fan not to the actual finish* and they fan easily.

Price: About 1.50 - 3.00 a deck is what i have been seeing, so a very good price for a nice handling semi-custom deck.

Where to buy: Maydey.com (http://Maydey.com) and Ebay.

Amount printed: If i remember correctly about 100,000 with no reprinting in mind.

Final Opinion: Nice handling deck, simple but elegant back design, could use some more eye popping color but overall good, 4/5.

*all pictures to be posted within 24 hours*

Very good review John, you have the best writing reviews I have seen. I usually watch video reviews, but your making me like writing reviews to. I would give this a 3/5 from your description.

I have 4 of them. Don't like them.
Never knew it wasn't USPCC's.
They smell stange.
