Yes, I freely admit that I copied this post from CBJ over at UC. But it's a cool-sounding deck that I knew you a number of you would be interested in.
Here's what he wrote:
The guys at Albino Dragon posted an update on the Bicycle Cthulhu decks...

Looks like something moonexe would design :P

We did have someone here working on a Wonderland deck, but without any Alice imagery in it. I'm sure if you root around in the cellar over at the Design/Dev board you'll find it. It was going to have a cool purple back design...

The deck is official!
The project will be titled "The Rabbit Hole" and be released January 10th. New pics, too.

So, not a Kickstarter project, then? Just taking it straight to print? Considering the bucks they made from their Kickstarter, I can see how they might not need another trip to the well for this one - to which I say, "hear, hear!" KS is best used for launching a business instead of just launching a deck.

I'm a big fan of this theme.
I would really like to adore this deck.
Great Ace of Spades.
Did not liked the King of Clubs.
But it's better to wait and see the final result.

Upps. The deck is probably going to be a Kickstarter. The update said
"With any luck (and some more help from some great people like Jim, Angie, Adam, and my mom) I hope to have most of [The Cthulhu Deck] wrapped up in the next week. Shane and I have targeted January 10th as the release date for our next deck project The Rabbit Hole. After learning so much about fulfillment on this project, I'll be setting that one up a bit differently so that we can get rewards out even faster next time."
Methinks that the "rewards" part implies a Kickstarter project.

No biggie - just need to recategorize the deck.

I will be following this closely. Love the ace but not a fan of the King just yet. I can't wait to see them all and really get a feel.
-
I could imagine that this will be another project at Kickstarter, since they probably do not have the money needed to go straight for the printing. In one of their updates at Kickstarter for the Cthulhu Playing Cards, they made a list over the costs of the project - $116,944 is the total amount. The project became funded with $96,583, so... :)

Yeah, they went a little freaky-nutz with the rewards, on top of offering a second deck.

Straight from the AlbinoDragon by Erik Dahlman comes The White Rabbit Deck
-
Cards inside are cool but MEIN EYES, DAST EIN FIRE when it comes to the tuck case
-
We already have a topic for this deck, back when we thought it was the "Cinderella" deck. I'm merging them now. The old topic had more examples of the artwork.
I much prefer the earlier back design to this "negative".
And I'm guessing that NOT the final box art, whether they believe so or not, if for no other reason than the tweak they did to the Bicycle logo. They've gotten pretty fussy about that sort of thing.
-
Does the creator have a website/facebook page to follow for updates on this deck?
-
Hahaha!
I don't really mind this back. I'm curious if they're going to release the Looking Glass deck in the same project, or if they're just going to release 2 back types like the Cthulhu deck

Give this a shot. :))

I aim to please - but I also aim for nerve clusters! :)) I've been feeling an overload of people lately asking the most mundane questions here when the answers are readily available via a quick web search. For a generation that practically breathes Internet and sleeps with "the new teddy bear", the cellphone, some are surprisingly lazy researchers. No offense!

I have to say, I really like the Cthulhu deck.
But the shipping (for international backers) this time is truly horrendous. >:(
A lot of the shipping for pledge rewards is nearly double what they listed for Cthulhu.
I understand that a lot (especially US) backers will still pledge for decks since shipping is factored in already, but for me, one deck for US$19 or two decks for US$30? Wow.
And US$30 for shipping an uncut sheet and two decks?? The folks at Uusi are able to ship them for $15 for the same items, and they are CHEAPER. Bohemia was $48 for a uncut sheet and two decks. White Rabbit is now $70 for an uncut and two decks. Zounds. Maybe I'm not understanding something and that the quality of the uncut sheet of lesser print run determines the cost as well.
If they think that they want to recoup the losses they suffered from shipping the Cthulhu deck then I think that's not a good way of going about doing it, but of cos, who am I to criticise.
Doubt I will be pledging this time, though I thought Shane is doing a great job on the cards. Danggit. :bosswalk:

I have to agree that some of the pricing is a little off the charts. BTW, why did no one post the link yet? :))

White Rabbit is probably doing their packaging a bit differently than Uusi does. They've actually worked out a way to safely ship a handful of decks in the same tube as the uncut sheet, something that practically no one else does. So the costly shipping is probably because he's shipping two packages.
As far as "short print run", well - they haven't actually stated that they're making a short print run. I'm thinking that the goal was picked because it's about the minimum needed to get a 2,500-deck run going. But as the funding increases, there's nothing stopping them from increasing the size of the run to accommodate the number of people pledging as well as some left over for retail and wholesale after the project.
-
Those cards do look awesome :L first deck I've seen to have high price and high shipping, but thats up to the company I guess. Hopes this gets funded because they look amazing.

Actually they said this in the comments on their Kickstarter;
Our thought is that we want to do a limited run of 5k decks on this project, and if it's successful, then we would do the same for the dark deck. If this one goes crazy, we may have to reconsider that number or do something like last time with a limited vs. unlimited version. Honestly, we didn't expect this kind of response this quickly, so we can talk about it more during the Hangout and see where we're at.

Meaning that overall, if you read that carefully, they aren't committed to a fixed, total quantity of decks. As I stated. A second deck requires a new contract, but as this quote states, they're open to printing more.

Hello friends!
Where I can buy 4 or 6 this decks?
I live in Ukraine and Kikstarter and Amazon don't work with my country.

First, it doesn't matter about Kickstarter, since the project ended 31 Jan. 2013. As of last week or so, Albino Dragon was reporting that they have the decks in hand and they made an EXTREMELY SHORT print run, with only about 100 decks not already being pre-sold/spoken for.
It will ship very soon, I'm thinking, but if you weren't in the Kickstarter, keep a SHARP eye out for them on albinodragon.com. If that fails, try either after-market deck retailers or eBay, but expect to pay premium prices well above what they cost on Kickstarter. Getting four or six decks, if you can find them, will probably be rather expensive.
We have some European retailers that deal in custom decks on our list of shops offering coupon codes/discounts - look for it at the top of the topic list for the Playing Card Plethora.
-
Thank you for answer.
P.S.
I want request this deck in January from Kickstarter, but Kickstarter don't work with my country.
albinodragon.com and amazon.com - don't work with Ukraine too.
