Title: New KS Deck - Asylum
Post by: Athanasius on September 25, 2012, 02:48:05 AM
Hi Lads and Lassies!!!!

This is my humble contribution to the playing cards community... After months and months of work, we launched this deck, just few hours ago. Maybe you would find it interesting:

Welcome to the boards. Unfortunately I will pass on this deck. I do not like the face cards. I prefer decks to somewhat stick to the originals. Also for $9 a deck, I don't like the price.

John, thanks for the welcoming words. Well, this definitely isn't "everyone's cup of tea", we knew it from the start. However, I hope this deck would find its public...

I actually dig this, especially how the courts look like Kathy Bates, Heath Ledger/Joker and Charlie Bronson, oh and cant forget vincent price. I've pledged but I do agree that for a first time deck, the price is a bit steep. I would contemplate an uncut and deck but i'm up in the air.

I quite like this deck I'm a huge horror fan and mostly I love watching horror flicks (House on Haunted Hill, Session 9, Grave Encounters etc ) with this theme (mental hospitals, demented doctors, creepy patients) so I'm backing it up :)

Thanks, guys.

To be honest, 4 P.M.'s design of The Grid, was a huge motivation to start all this. So I truly appreciate your comments, without any empty words of flattering.

Well Kenneth, whole idea came from pure affection to retro horror movies... Hope that video resembles to one...

That's great to hear. I'm glad our deck could help motivate someone to fulfill their goals. I work in the motion picture industry and specialize in horror so your deck was kind of a no brainer for me. I wish you the best!

This deck is freaking mad! The court cards creep me out, the promotional art gives me nightmares, the blood makes me sick, and now because of you I don't know if I ever want to step inside of a hospital ever again!

I love this deck so freaking much.....

Hey everyone,

We have received many suggestions concerning the design of the back, and have decided to make one subtle change on it, by removing "Asylum logo". It is our hope and intent that this improvement will raise quality and value of the deck...

That's a good choice.
