How were you able to interpret this message/quote since it is in reverse?

I was trying to grab the video and use an editing software to reverse it. but guess there is no need now. Thanks.

If this is real, I am pumped. This is sure to be an exciting deck.

Sorry for the double post but the round table discussion revealed somethings. This release, Madison Players will not just be a deck but a video with something else. The release is October 10

Well, we know that T11 does a wonderful job on the tuck boxes... but what about what's inside?
I'll probably get them, but I just want to know!

Daniel Madison usually has good taste so I expect these will look quite elegant.

Release Date: October 10th, 2012 at 11am EST

The box looks to have a texture to it!
-
I think the box looks really simple yet elegant. Hope it's unlimited.
-
I'm glad we're seeing more texturized boxes instead of the flat or embossed ones. The texture's the main reason why I loved decks like this one and the Vintage Plaids. Let's just hope the back design won't fall short... not that I'm expecting it will anyway.
-
I'm a fan of Mr. Madison so i'll grab one of these. I expect that the faces will be standard, since he is a gambler/player/magician. Still, the box is simple and elegant, the texture looks neat and they will probably have a pretty cool back.
-
the box is beautiful , may be some one know this will be release limited or unlimited ? because i see more question about this but not got any answer from t11

With a handful of exceptions, the bulk of T11's releases aren't limited these days. It's known they've made reprints of some decks that were originally made in Cincinnati - the new printings have the same basic design but are marked as made in Erlanger instead. With the Silver Monarchs, they've come out and stated flatly that it's an unlimited edition, much like most of the Ellusionist decks.
Having said that, it's possible that Daniel Madison only wants a limited amount printed and sold, and that's it.
We'll know tomorrow. (It's Monday where I am!)
-
@Don, have you forgotten about the White Monarchs? Those were limited.
Ace of Spades revealed! Me likey!
-
I like it as well! It's very intricate and way out of the ordinary. When was the last time you've seen an Ace this...Wow! Huh? It's nicely beautiful way to combine style, and yet still have to look simple. If that makes sense...
-

I haven't forgotten a blasted thing. Perhaps you didn't read the sentence clearly enough. Allow me to quote and emphasize the important parts...
"With a handful of exceptions, the bulk of T11's releases aren't limited these days."
I'd call the White Monarchs part of that handful... I may be old, but I'm not that bad just yet, ya lil' whippersnapper! :))
-
BTW, these are available now. http://www.theory11.com/playingcards/players-daniel-madison It does say the white ones are limited, so I imagine we'll see a follow up version someday. Very interesting and minimal, and supposedly lots of secrets in them (that certainly is the trend in the last month. Decks full of secrets! Get em while they are hot!)
-
I do wonder how limited are they, are they S&M v1-3 limited or white monarch "limited"? i think Blaine printed shit load of white lions B because they are marked. This makes me question the quantity of those, Since T11 doesn't release the actual number of cards printed.

Im wondering the same thing. Is this something I need to hop on right now and get some before they are gone? Or do I have time till Black Friday Specials? I have been holding off on the Silver Monarchs and Rebels just for the Black Friday deals. I was going to do the same with this deck. I know the holidays are coming soon and they always have some cool gifts to win. So I was gonna hold off on buying stuff to better my chances for the holiday contests.

Just tried using the T11H3BA code and it does not work!
Below reasons does not apply to me:
1. It was a "single-use only" code that you already used.
2. You tried to apply more than one code.
3. The code specifically didn't apply to the merchandise you were buying, i.e., using a code for % off on decks to buy a DVD.

Talk to Lyle. I had the same problem with Red Jaqk release. He reimbursed me the 15%. He was really helpful, and the reason for this issue is they used a new system (something like that), and they didn't update the coupon codes yet.

Is Lyle on this forum?

I believe he has an account, but he has like one post. I contacted him through support.

cant wait to use these!!.
-
For all the hype that these got, I'm not really feeling them. Limited or not, I think I'm gonna pass for now, and probably won't get them unless they're around for a while.
-
I feel like this deck was produced because of marked decks like White Lions series B's popularity!
-
I have a feeling that there were more than 5,000 printed.
I really like the look of these, faces and backs.
-
The overlook of the deck is not too bad however it could have been better!
-
Just like most limited decks, they will always come around again during promotional offers. If not then meh, can probably pick up some from eBay :p

Unless you took the trouble to search around, you would never realize that the White Lions were marked. They're popular for reasons OTHER than being marked. These, well - that remains to be seen. Daniel Madison is pretty popular, particularly in Europe. I'd say it has more to do with that name-brand familiarity, much like David Blaine. Plus both decks are attractive and elegant.

T11 doesn't generally do 5K runs. More like 10-25K.
And I like them, too. Ordered three decks.
The overlook of the deck is not too bad however it could have been better!
In what way? Give more detail, if you wouldn't mind - it makes your comments more interesting.

I have a funny feeling that this will be like Centurions in the sense that there will be a limited edition color and a not-so-limited color. When the white runs out, maybe even before it runs out, look forward so some other color, probably black.
-
On my opinion the deck got too much M brand on it! lol Maybe it could have been done subtlety - not too obvious.. The front of the tuck box is too plain - it needs more add on to showcase the brand itself. Other than that I like the deck. It grows on you! :)

Oh, so this is too obvious, but the "split spade" DB is just fine, then? :))
It's done elegantly, like a monogram, which I think is what he was aiming for. And some of the most popular decks have some of the simplest tuck boxes. The latest White Lions don't even have "White Lions" printed in ink on the boxes, only as embossing; the Black and Gold Crown decks don't have a single word on the box other than the bottom panel small print; the BeDeceived Mystery deck is only a big, well-framed and decorated "M" on the front with an all-black back.
-
Well, i went for a brick.T11 ships via first class mail so its more expensive (even though priority mail is faster and cheaper!)
I paid $24 USD for shipping 12 decks.
With the 15% discount on the brick it was a affordable deal.
Now for the cards.
I have to say they look like a copy of the White Lions.
Which is not bad,but nothing ground breaking here.
They exchanged the heads/faces of the court cards and customized them in this way...so everyone
Will still recognize them as standard courts.
Basically not much altered (like in the WL series).
The Ace of Spades is a nice design,it is not overpowered and not too simple.I think its a perfect fit for this theme.
The Jokers are custom as well and i appreciate 2 identical jokers.
Now for the back design : It looks simple for the eye.It will not go through like a casino deck of cards like the WL decks.
The marks are in the same position (for the suit) as on the WL decks but much easier to read!
Easier to learn but on the same way detectable during a riffle test. (Which the White Lions will not fail).
Lovely box design simple is the keyword. :-)
In direct compare a clone of the White Lions for sure, just in T11 style.;-)
My guess would be a 20k print run.
-
The back design looks great! It's a perfect of Madison's style and the Bee Stingers, a most-loved deck, combined into one! I wonder how the texture is going to register though.
-
Mine shipped today! Looking forward to receiving them.
-
If someone does mind, can they please message me the marking system for these Players.
The reason for this is that I am very interested in the deck. However, if I buy the deck, I am probably only going to use it for that secret code. I just want to know if the code is easily detected from about half an arms length away. I want to buy a deck with a good marking system. Other marked decks are to easy to detect (such as the David Blaine Split Spades Marked Deck) or to hard to easily detect (such as the White Lions). If someone can help me in that district, I'd greatly appreciate it.

According to the download I got, the marking system of this deck is not so easy to be seen. You have to hold the deck or the deck has to be in front of you, or else you want eble to nitice the difference.

If it were at half-an-arms length, or just in a regular Mechanic's grip at your side, assuming you have maybe not the best vision, will you be able to recognize it? If so, how quickly do you think you'd see it.

I wouldn't call these an exact copy of the White Lions, though they do bear certain similarities, especially the altered court faces. (I wonder who "posed" for Madison's deck?) As far as the White Lions marking system compared to these, if it's printed, it won't pass - though the way in which the WL marks are done would make them just a little harder to detect (but not impossible) on a riffle.
Print run: good guess. I'd put it in that ballpark, -5K/+10K.
The back design looks great! It's a perfect of Madison's style and the Bee Stingers, a most-loved deck, combined into one! I wonder how the texture is going to register though.
I'm sure the texture will be just fine. I can't imagine it being much different than the dimpling found on most modern textured decks.
If someone does mind, can they please message me the marking system for these Players.

This deck can be read from arm's length, but you do need to practice it.
The ideal marked deck not utilizing any form of "juicing" or daubs is the Ultimate Marked Deck, made by two French magicians. You can still find them, though they're getting both scarce and expensive - over $35 a pack today, though Penguin Magic still has them for under $26. They use a Bicycle Rider Back design in red and blue (meaning this deck will never get remade as such) and has marks that aren't encoded like most marked decks - you could read the backs as quickly and easily as the fronts with very little practice, while the markings were still hard to spot short of a riffle test (and even then it isn't easy to detect). Better still, the marks can be read at distances greater than arm's length - I can read them from a distance more like the other side of a round poker table big enough for six to eight people, and my eyesight is 20/30 in my left eye, 20/20 in my right! It was specifically designed for fast reading at a distance.
You want the best marked deck out there, that's the deck. Even magicians not already aware of this deck are fooled by the marking system.
-
So has anyone got theirs yet? If someone please post a short review. I am not sure if this is worth getting not only because of it being limited* lol
I sure do hope that the handling is passable and the deck itself is a bang for your buck
I might buy a brick for it being limited! ;)
-
Did anyone watch the marking system video and notice a background sound that seems to be repeating itself backwards? I cannot seem to figure that out as I do not have the necessary software to 'unravel' it. Help anyone?
