My name is David Pepka and I'm a close-up magician from PA. I recently found out about The Discourse from an eBay dealer. I love playing cards and look forward to contributing and learning.

Please allow me to offer the CORRECTED link to your website: forentertainmentonly.com (http://www.forentertainmentonly.com). It looks like you have an awesome magical (and musical!) practice going there, and I LOVE that icon you have for your site, it's gorgeous!
I think you'll find we're a happy, merry bunch around here, and that we'll be learning from you as much as you will be from us, I'm sure. Professional magicians are always welcome here - it seems like the playing cards get the lion's share of the attention, so having some lively talk on the art of using those cards to entertain would be most welcome! I've not done much professionally with my magic yet, but I have been volunteering at a hospital in Brooklyn since October, once a week.
Until now I've been in the pediatric unit, giving the kids (and their parents) some laughs and distractions, but starting next week I'll be moving into the pediatric emergency room, where I'm told my talents may be more acutely needed! In the near future, my program coordinator wants me to also work in the physical therapy unit - I'm already thinking of simple ways to not just entertain but to teach a little shuffling and sleight of hand for patients looking to regain some manual dexterity.
If you have any questions while you roam the halls of the Discourse, feel free to ask, especially moderators and long-term addicts, er, I mean, "members"... :)) ("Long-term" is relative since this message board only opened in the fall, but you get the idea!)
