I found this on instagram.
http://instagr.am/p/Jdk8clG6hu/
I think it's a new deck.
-
Sure looks like it. "Ace Fulton's Casino."
Doesn't matter to me, though. I've sworn off D&D decks from now on. More money for other worthwhile products.
-
The v2 Magic Cons were sexy. I must admit, it was a unique box and back design and that's never a bad thing. Unfortunately, their best decks seem to always be the most limited. Like Don, I've sworn off their releases with the exception of any v2 MC's I can get a hold of, and of course if they completely revamp the S&M design and make it something worth buying again.
My issue with Fulton's is that there seems to be a new one every 2-3 months now. That's overkill for just one stand alone company, but this is not including D&D's other deck releases.
-
The 'thing' below looks like the back of the cards. Either that or they might be the ad card. Probably maybe hopefully they will have an awesome sick and mimick Jerry's.
-
haiz i am getting sick of D&D releases .. they should put more focus into a deck rather than putting out so many deck .. to be honest i think the magic con v2 deck is nice but i cant get it .. still relucant to delete it of my cart LOL!!
-
Lol Haw...I would wait and hope for a glitch that lets you checkout with them. As for the Fulton line, I like the CJ better than CT but still like the series
-
I don't think D&D picked the right time to start showing teasers for a new deck. Many members are angry at them, so putting out another deck won't help much...
-
I'm sure they could care less that some people are mad at them... there are still a ton of people who will buy their decks.
As for this deck, if you look at the picture, it looks like the box on top of a card from the deck and the card looks like the back design... it looks like a casino deck that has a couple words mirrored and thats it.
-
Just like D&D, I could care less as well. I will be buying this deck.
-
Found another pic

Looks to be a very plain back. Maybe Jerry's-esque as I think someone mentioned. Probably will pass on those unless they are super limited or have some really unique characteristic..
-
Jerry's are awesome for their handling. They truly feel like a unique deck in your hand. If you want a "Jerry's-esque" deck, look no further than the Wynn-logo series. At least those are also a piece of history.
-
One of the tags for the first photo was blackandwhite or something like that. Either it's because the photos are black and white, or the cards are...
So far, though, I see borders and corners with a tiny little bump in them to make them cuter.
I'll still pass.
Next on deck: Fulton's Poconos, home of the Borscht Belt Magician. Followed by Fulton's Golden Acres Retirement Home; Fulton's Medium-Security Penitentiary; Fulton's 24-Hour Liquors; Fulton's Big and Tall; Fulton's Underground Pharmacy; Fulton's Red Hots; Fulton's Lip Balm (oh, wait, they're coming out with that one first); Fulton's Oatey-Ohs Cereal (now with 150% more coffee oil); the Fulton-Flex Universal Gym; Fulton's Boob-a-rama and Video Peeps; the Fulton Beach Inn; Fultonworld; the Grand Army of the Republic of Fulton; Fulton, Buck and Buck Accounting; Notluf (it's a few stops after Notlob); Fulton's Fusiliers; Fulton's India Pale Ale; Fulton League Rugby; St. Fulton's Roman Catholic All-Girls' High School and Junior College...

I think you are pushing it a bit far. We've had 2 Fulton decks in the past, what, 8 months? Another one wouldn't necessarily hurt.
-
The deck looks alright, looks a little plain though. But if it is nice I might pick a deck or two up.
-
Wow Don. I'm not even going to get into the load of negativity.
I feel the Fulton Series has done well so far. I really like the CJs and the CTs aren't bad either. It looks like a lot of effort and research is put into each deck here and I can appreciate that. He has released 2 fairly entailed decks. Releasing an homage to the JN deck and keeping it fairly simple is a great move here. It's like Nugs for poor people lol. I think Fulton (even though he is a prick from what I hear) is doing well in the design aspect. As long as it continues, I will continue to support.
-

Nugs for poor people = Wynn's or any other logo-back minimalist deck. Either way, I don't know anyone that wants Nugs for their looks.
Fulton's had (technically) three releases in the last six months or so. Like I stated, on its own that's not so bad, but combined with every other D&D release it's overkill.
Don't believe me? Ask yourself if you'll be buying three bricks or three decks. The most interested of you are picking up a few decks. Going into the Harlequin I'm expecting the most interested buyers to be buying bricks or more. As soon as those buyers tell me "I'm buying only three" I realize I've been doing something very wrong.
Keep in mind they do not design anything, they produce decks. They outsource the artwork, so naturally it will never be bad. No one is saying they're bad. In fact, I'd be hard pressed to say that any D&D release has ever been less than above decent.
-
LOL @ Don..
"Fulton's Boob-a-rama and Video Peeps"... You know I'd want a brick or two of those decks
CBJ
-
Alex, what was Fulton's 3rd release? There are the CJ, the CT, and...? Also something that needs to be taken into consideration, Fultons are readily available. I will buy 3 decks because I can always come back and buy more. Whereas, I will buy a brick or more of Halequins because they are more rare.
-
Yeah, they definitely seem to be mimicking the Jerry's style with these but I think they'll still come with the same sub-standard stock as all the other Futon's decks (and the plaid backs). I wouldn't expect the Wynns logos to handle like Jerry's, though? They are my favourite deck for handling but really?
-
I wasn't a fan of the plaids either. I mean, design was cool, but handling was sub par.
-
@sinsandman - Didn't the CT decks come out in two editions?
@Kanped - Wynn's handle nothing like the Jerry's. They look like them because they are both one-color backs with the logo on each side. Wynn's definitely have unique handling, but are only comparable to the Jerry's for their back design.
-
Not that I am aware of, Alex. But this would not be the first time I was wrong if they did. If they did, I still count it as one lol :t11:
-
@sinsandman - Didn't the CT decks come out in two editions?
No, the "inverted" card that everyone thought was a second edition was just an extra card.
The only thing I didn't like about the Clip Joints were the handling, but the Chinatowns were completely forgettable. I enjoyed the Plaids, but it seems like I'm in the minority here.
-
I think you are pushing it a bit far. We've had 2 Fulton decks in the past, what, 8 months? Another one wouldn't necessarily hurt.
Two decks, a third on the way, a hand lotion and a lip balm (they're actually putting out teasers for that one, though I considered the odds that it might have been a joke 'cause the photos hit too close to April Fool's Day). All in about a half-year. That's a lot of stuff - and doesn't count a single bit of the other D&D malarkey. The Fulton's line alone is enough to generate burnout except in the most loyal consumers...
Wow Don. I'm not even going to get into the load of negativity.
You don't have to. Been there, done that, bought the t-shirt - and got chastised on the FB page! No need to delve deeper, though - I think everyone here's got the gist and doesn't need the instant replay and Monday morning quaterbacking. Let's just say that my name is probably not very popular at Dan and Dave Industries right now, other than to hang epithets from.

Sometimes the design work at D&D is lazy, but there's no denying that they put quality into it. But the one and only time I bought by the brick from them was Fulton's Clip Joint. In retrospect, it was a bit over-exuberant - I was swept up in the holiday feeding frenzy. Everything since then I either bought in small numbers or not at all, and going forward, "not at all" will be my standard deck purchase from D&D. Who can keep up with it all, for one, and there's only the odd gem here and there mixed in with some mediocre stuff. They have an awesome library of magic books, some interesting odds-and-ends card-related items that no one else carries (or would think to) but I'm over their decks now. The money I would have spent on Magic-Con v2 went to Lee Asher for a mixed brick of 605s and some blue Bulldogs I need for a trade.
But Alex does have a point - when people reduce quantities from whatever they were buying before, be it from a gross to two bricks, a brick to two decks, or three decks to just one (or none), something's not working. Blame the economy if you must, but it won't keep your lights on.
The only thing I didn't like about the Clip Joints were the handling, but the Chinatowns were completely forgettable. I enjoyed the Plaids, but it seems like I'm in the minority here.
I liked the Vintage Plaids/U.S. Regulation decks, actually. They were quirky and a throw-back to designs that were popular when I was a twinkle in my dad's eye. I think of trips upstate to a cabin or east to the beach when I play with them.
Now, about that "matched" cork deck clip... :))

Not to mention their new tests for covers to put on their clips (denim etc).

Some of the clips acctually look cool, from what I have seen the Denim looks pretty sweet, not something I would buy, buy sweet looking.

I actually like the direction Fulton is going with his decks. I may be the only one but to each their own right! Its like BMPOKER replied on a thread I read either here or at UC. Most people say (me included) they don't like the Karnival decks but they sell well so somebody likes them. No these decks aren't ground breaking but are at least all playing to a similar set of themes (prohibition, Noir, or classic Vegas....I know they aren't all the same theme but they are somehow all similar to me). I know DandD isn't the most popular on this forum right now but I don't always have to like the company to like their products. For instance they have HORRIBLE shipping prices, its almost worth going to a reseller for their regular decks if you only want 1 or 2 decks. But I can't lie to myself and say I like a Bicycle Templar Knights or Rosefinch more than a Fulton's Deck!

I don't think it's purely between BTK, Rosefinch and Fulton's. =P
-
I just pulled off the top of my head 2 decks as an example of decks which I didn't particularly care for the design....which is not to say others don't like the design. I guess I was trying to say "One man's junk is another man's treasure"! :)

just amazing pips!!!!!!!!!
-
Wow. Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful pips. Did I say they were beautiful? Very intricate, and precise... Can't wait to see what else they have in store for us!
-
From what I've seen so far, this look like a deck that I'm really going to like! The pips look fantastic and I'm really hoping for custom court cards.
-
So is only one pip customized like the Clip Joints?
-
So is only one pip customized like the Clip Joints?
Theres no way to know yet. None of the pictures have show full cards.
-
Actually if u lighten the pic above, u can see that the five of spades have one custom pip just like the FCJ. I think what's new in this deck would be the custom pip in the court card.
-

You are correct. I just inversed my screen colors (control-option-command-8 on a Mac), and we can see that one spade pip is normal, while the one we see has another, smaller pip inside of it.

Wow... Nathan... In all these months of reading your posts, you have finally written something I found interesting and have learned from... All these years of owning Macs and I never knew that holding down those keys inverses the color of the screen... I can't stop!!!

Are you being sarcastic about you not knowing about it? Off topic, but you can also change the contrast by pressing (control-option-command-period). The more you press it, the greater the contrast. To revert back, press (control-option-command-comma) a dozen times and it'll revert back to normal. This doesn't help in our case though.

Image update. Fairly sure that this are from the Vegas deck. Looks ok.

That color is pretty ugly! Also, there's a possibility that that might not be the Fulton's vegas deck because it says, “Vintage Casino Playing Cards from our private collection.”

True it does say that on the pic, but if you look at the tuck box it says D&D Playing Card on it so there is no way it can be an actual vintage deck.
-
It seems like the the words are surrounded by two VERY long pistols. It's hard to see at first, but that's what it looks like to me.8
-
Here's another pic of that 5!
-
Not sure, but the colors on this picture look inverted from the colors on the other pic. Maybe D&D are reading these forums and inverting these colors to add a spice to their teaser?
-
D&D have an unhealthy obsession with Instagram so that might have something to do with it.
-
This is looking like yet another deck that has one whacky pip on each card. Tired and lame. I'm glad I "pre-passed" on this deck. I liked the concept of the Fulton's Clip Joint deck despite the whacky pips, but it's been downhill since. They aren't "new tires", they're just "newly retreaded".
-
is it just me or does the index on the 5 look custom as well. or not standard i should say.

It has been like that since the clip joints. Some of the numbers are slightly different. Go check out the the 3s, 5s and some others that i cannot think now. I was wondering why reviewers did not notice that fact when reviewing as most reviews I saw mentioned nothing about this fact. I might have missed out some though.

It's kinda hard to see clearly, but I also noticed the shape of the pip looked different. Maybe they'll be using arrco pips?
-
the pip is MUCH smaller than the cj's.

Probably not. They haven't used Arrco pips on any of their decks (as far as I know) and definitely not on any of the decks on the Fulton's decks. I really hope they don't use Arcco pips, I'm not a fan of them.
-
Here's another pic of that 5!
Not sure where you found that picture but how do we know it is from the Vegas deck and even if it is, it's too hard to tell the size of the pips from such a terrible pic.
-
Those pics are from instragram. And I almost sure that it's futon's ace casino deck. cause they are quietly hype this deck.

They probably won't use Arrco faces, but they have been known for using "Perfect Pips TM" in the past - like on all the Smoke and Mirrors decks.
-
Looks like its getting close to them announcing the release of these. I just got an email with the whole background of ace fultons casino. I guess it actually was a real place in Vegas. it didn't mention anything about cards though.
what do you guys think we're looking at as far as when they'll be released factoring in all the hype we've been getting lately from Instagram??

Reading it over again it was actually a notification that they posted the same thing in their blog on their website. Here's the link

Here's a new pic that Brad Fulton tweeted!
-
Well here's another pic. I'm not sure that its of the deck but it looks like a card... maybe a joker?
-
I'm really not all that impressed with what I've seen of this deck. You can tell when a distributor is ashamed to show the whole product. It feels like we are getting the NOC deck treatment.
-
I knew those guns had something to do with the deck. I find the designs pretty nice. I see the hype-machine building already!

I think what you guys saw was an elaborate fictional background story complete with Photoshopped image. There was never an "Ace Fulton's Casino" in Las Vegas. I did a little research on old Las Vegas and there's no mention of it anywhere.
-
I did find that weird that I'd never heard of it seeing as i've been in Vegas my whole life. I just didn't think someone would take the time to fictionalize such a fanciful and elaborate tale...
There is, however, a fultons fish market here in Vegas... haha maybe that's what he's referring to

Marketing, marketing, marketing - it's no different than "the most interesting man in the world" in the Dos Equis beer ads.
The Fulton Fish Market restaurant at the New York New York hotel likely got it's name from the original Fulton Fish Market, on Fulton Street in lower Manhattan. Chefs and their assistants used to go there and pick out the freshest fish available, all caught within the last day, some only hours old. A few years ago someone somewhere decided to increase the tourism aspect of the entire South Street Seaport area, and the Fulton Fish Market got moved to the Hunt's Point market in 2005. At least the new location is a lot more modern - and you can get practically ANYTHING wholesale at Hunt's Point! That's where the thousands of smaller shops around the city get their supplies from.
-
If a mod could update the name of this thread, that'd be great.
Aslo, Brad Fulton posted this pic and as you can see, the very top deck is the Fulton's Ace Casino deck or whatever it's called :P

Actually, there's no need to update anything just yet. We have clues about the deck, but D&D never came out and said "This deck is called the (something-or-other) deck!" Until we have a real, verified name, the current title is just fine.
-
We know

I'm not "in charge." Go ahead, have it changed. But if D&D pull a De'vo and call it the "Fulton's Fluffy Bunnies and Unicorns deck", you're going to look awfully silly... :))
-
I will tell you, the deck looks cool and all... However, marketing or no marketing, I could really do without the back story of uncle Jimmy and Old Vegas... Can you say... Overkill?
-

Weren't there a few guys who actually thought the backstory on this deck was REAL? :))
Yes, big-time overkill. Jimmy "Ace" Fulton, indeed. And the "vintage" (Photoshopped) photo, too... Someone's really laying it on thick here.
I suspect they're "concerned" about the sales numbers on the Fulton series. The original deck, Fulton's Clip Joint, is still available, and only USPC knows how many decks they ordered - I've been told by a reliable source who shall not be named that they typically order around 20,000-30,000 on each deck run. For the Fulton's Chinatown deck, they announced for the first time ever how many decks they made - 5,000. And it still took around five months to sell out. Smoke and Mirrors, these are not.
And the part I find hilarious? I can call Dan and Dave all sorts of screwed-up nasty things if I felt like it, and they'd never know. Their main customer service guy informed me that they DON'T READ collectors' forums like this and United Cardists! I could say their decks smell of cow dung, wouldn't make a bit of difference to them.
Imagine owning a toy manufacturing company and never going out to toy stores or toy fairs to listen to what kids are saying about their toys... If you ask me, that's either arrogant, clueless or both.

Welcome to the internet.
Imagine owning a toy manufacturing company and never going out to toy stores or toy fairs to listen to what kids are saying about their toys... If you ask me, that's either arrogant, clueless or both.
The S&M decks are one of their biggest cash cow, so why should they spend so much effort redesigning them when they can just swap the colors and still sell the same amount? Yes, that probably makes them arrogant, but why should they care when they can laugh all the way to the bank. I'm not trying to defend them, just applying my typical cynicism.

I prefer to think of S&M as the goose that's laying the golden eggs. It's only a matter of time before the eggs stop coming, before people figure out the hype and get tired of shelling out cash to them. Their S&M cards are good, but they're hardly the Holy Grail of card design, and the color change stuff is both lazy of them and boring to us. But they're on the hook for maybe a half-dozen releases around late fall/early winter, and they're selling at a much slower pace than any of the S&M releases - even when they cut the production run shorter. Their looking at their "flagship" product to save the day.
But that's not my main point.
Imagine you own a magic store. Customers come in all day, browsing, buying, trying out new tricks on each other. But you never see them unless they're plunking down the cash. You and your register are in a booth, shrouded and insulated from the rest of the store. If a customer talks to you directly, you listen - but anything they say outside of your booth, you never hear it and aren't interested in hearing it. I can practically hear some Wizard of Oz character standing at the booth door, saying "Nobody gets to see the Wizard, no one, no how!"
That makes no sense. They don't hear the pulse of their customers (and potential customers). Designers and employees of some decent-sized card/magic/cardistry companies pop in here all the time, listening to what we're saying, hearing that pulse. Some even chime in, and not only on topics about their own products.
I'm putting this argument to bed by saying, "That is NOT how I would run an Internet-based, Internet-dependent business in this day and age."
-
I just found this pic! THis seems like a deck that would only appeal to some and I'm one of them. I love the look of this deck and I cant wait to see the rest of it.
I hope these will be released tonight.

It looks like the photo was similar to something they did with the release of the Vintage Plaid decks. They put up a video talking about a new product while a pack of the cards were sitting on the table.
This time, the photo is part of the ad campaign for the new Victorian Close-Up Pad. Now with vintage Italian leather, it goes for a whopping $250!
I'm just curious about where the hell you get vintage leather that hasn't already been used in some other product. Are there cellars somewhere with bolts of this stuff aging for years and years or something? Were they someone's drapes?
-
They should be coming very very soon... I don't know much more
-
I agree with you Evan. The backs look simple and very nice. Love the color. They seem very elegant and remind me of some old saloon decks my grandpa owns. Pretty cool!
-

Thanks for that update - it was EXTREMELY informative... :)) I had NO IDEA they'd be coming "very very soon"!
(Note: if your sarcasm detector isn't going off by now, you should have it serviced by your local repairman!)

OMG!!! This box is AMAZING!!!! They're extraordinary. I think the Jerry's nugget are superb, but THESE, OMG! Will have a gross of these, don't care how they handle or how the cards look like. Just for the box!!
-
What color are these going to be?? Instagram annoys me sometimes because everything looks so different on there! When they release these there had better be a clear un "vintage" picture because even though I've seen the box I don't feel like I really have. I hope that makes sense haha
-

Really? You think they're all that and a bag of chips? To me, it's meh.

Well, the Chinatown deck was photographed to look red and it turned out to be orange. This one looks orange in the photo, so I'll guess something close to banana yellow... :)) When oh when are they going to get that camera fixed?
-
yea, i absolutely love them. And from the pics I've seen of the cards, they'll have like jerry's nugget, just the two logos on each side of the card, which I love... So maybe not a gross, but certainly a six-pack or more...

Am I the only one who doesn't find jerrys nuggets to be amazing looking?? the first time I saw them before I knew what they were I thought they looked like skateboard wheels! I'm not sure if people have been brainwashed by the rarity of these cards to think they're beautiful or what. I mean I understand that they're revered for their extraordinary handling (I still would love to try these out one day) but they're by no means great looking. I hope this isn't off topic but I say all this because I feel Fulton and the twins are attempting to utilize a style that to
me... has no style.
-
well, I like minimalistic looking cards, so here you go. And I'm not brainwashed :(
-
Don't get me wrong,I totally understand that some people will like their design, but I don't understand how so MANY people like them. Just my opinion though, maybe I'm the one with bad sense of style ::)
-
Am I the only one who doesn't find jerrys nuggets to be amazing looking??
No
-
The color of these are actually going to be orange. Not an orange like the Chinatown decks though.
I absolutely love the look of the back and the back design. I really cant wait to see the fronts of the cards.
It sounds like this deck is coming this coming week. Brad Fulton has been tweeting a few things mentioning this coming week.
-
Am I the only one who doesn't find jerrys nuggets to be amazing looking??
No
Nope. I agree with you Darryl on many points you've made. I think that wen buying a 250$'s worth deck, you unconciously convince yourself that the deck is beautiful.
As for this deck, I find the color of the box too light, and it isn't appealing to me.
-

Uh, you do know that practically every casino deck on planet Earth has the same layout with a logo in each half of the back, right? If that's what makes them beautiful to you, then you must REALLY love casino decks...

Even the magicians who made this deck famous never thought they were attractive. They used them in their acts because they were cheap, durable and improved with age. At the time, they were fifty cents a pack from the gift shop! The red/blue color combination and derrick logo are really kind of hideous. If this was just some low-price deck sitting behind the counter at the 7-11 and not some famous "wunderdeck", practically everyone would think they were crappy-looking. If they were cheaper than Bikes or Bees, they'd consider bringing them home for poker night, but certainly not because they were beautiful. Most poker players care more about what's on the front than the back.

D&D posted this pic on Instagram. I seems like it's the Ace Fulton's deck and not the V7.

Maybe 7 is a lucky number of some sort? Or just a reveal?
-
I think it will be the v7.
Maybe they have some changes in design. At least at the box, cause it should look like the black SM v1-3
-
D&D posted this pic on Instagram. I seems like it's the Ace Fulton's deck and not the V7.
Wait a sec.
Dan/Dave posted a picture with a number "7" in it.
I hear Brad Fulton's been spitting out similar images all week.
And somehow, this brought you to the conclusion that the next deck to be released would be "Ace Fulton's Casino" and not "Smoke and Mirrors, version SEVEN"? As in the number 7??
I think I know a few neurologists who might be interested in the way you think... :))
-

I pray that you're just kidding... They look nice, and I'll probably pick a deck up to keep the complete Fulton Set (minus the jack@$$ seals)... But switch to decaf my friend...
-
well you guys can sit up for Ace fultons but I am going to be buying some V7`s, I dont understand how some people dont think it is V7 ::)

I'm just glad that I gave up on D&D decks - I'm not spending anything on either deck. I am running low on the skin lotion, however, so maybe I'll get some of that...
-
This makes it seem even more like the 7 is from the Ace Fulton's deck.
-
Looks like the V7 to me... Black and white, with a 7 and a spade... Perhaps they will be releasing both at the same time but are hype this way to confuse us and incite us to buy both.
-
@ Don... Aren't you getting married... It's too soon into your relationship for you to be running low on lotion... hahahahaha....

Of course its black and white... the picture is black and white!
Also, I see what 7 has to do with S&M V7 but what does a spade have to do with it? Plus, S&M has a design on the flap... not a spade.
-

Maybe Dan and Dave had a change of heart.
-
Don't you think that Compliments of Ace Fulton's Casino makes a little more sense?

What does a 7 have to do with Ace Fultons. Also go to D&D's twitter and read all the subliminal messages about seven, as in V7 not Ace Fultons Casiono that has nothing to do with 7 at all.
How does the picture up top make it seem more like Ace Fultons, they may have gone with a different box design for V7 (would be nice to see) so you dont really know so stop acting like you do nor do I but the hints point toward a V7.
-
I guess we can't know for sure which picture is for what, so let's not fight over it. What I don't understand is why Mr. Fulton is tweeting so much about the number 7 although he isn't the designer of the v7s. Or is he related to them in any way? I'm expecting both to be released on Friday. That's probably why they made a summer sale.

I think it would be pretty safe to say the V7 will come out this friday.

PS: Aaron, check you PMs. The address you sent me seems kinda weird. I also answered your question.
-
I want to throw my two cents in!! I vote that those pictures are of ace fultons, if it is I Wonder if they know how confusing theyre being by talking about 7 while we're all waiting for the V7's
-
can someone tell me what makes a 7 mean ace fultons while they have been talking about the V7's?
-
can someone tell me what makes a 7 mean ace fultons while they have been talking about the V7's?
I remember them mentioning 7UP in a tweet, and isn't that one of the things on a slot machine?
Also, it's not just the 7. The spade makes more sense to be on the Ace Fulton's deck and also Compliments of Ace Fulton's Casino makes a little more sense than Compliments of Smoke and Mirrors V7

Compliments of Dan and Dave would make sense.
I think they are trying to confuse us with what will be released. I guess we will just see.

I agree.. I think they are trying to confuse us by making some of us think that V7 will be released. I think theres a chance that both will be released but more of a chance that just the Ace Fulton's deck will be released.
-
you dont really know so stop acting like you do nor do I but the hints point toward a V7.
lol. i wanna see what will you say if there's no v7. and i also think that they will not released their s&m deck without any hype

I said I dont know either, I think the V7's will come out friday, based on my own opinion. If there is no V7, then I would say that I was wrong, what else would I say? And there has been hype and photos released so you obviously arn't even following the topic.
-
And there has been hype and photos released so you obviously arn't even following the topic.
the SEVEN mentioned was only on fulton's twitter. so it was actually no hype from dnd side and to anyone who doesn't have twitter account.

There's alot of going back and forth about whether ace fultons or v7 will be released or both. I'm wondering, since there's no way of us knowing, what would you guys prefer?? Ace fultons now, v7's, or both?? I personally would like then to be released at separate times, I want a brick of the smoke and mirrors for sure ( I know its alot, but they're called S&M's for a reason.... Dan and Dave love causing my wallet pain, yet I keep coming back for more.) If they released both at the same time I'd have to get a split brick....which in all honesty is probably what I should do now that I think about it.
Haha well that's my muddled response to my question. What do you guys think??

I'm definitely getting at least a brick of S&M, and probably 3 fultons. (I hope they don't Handle like the clip joints) I'd like it I'd they were both at the same time.
We can't guess that fifth item if it is not s&m.

Wow lol. Funniest joke I've heard in a while :P
Nathan, if that's the funniest thing you've heard in a while, then you don't get out much, do you? :))
JM, yes - the wedding's on my birthday in late August. But the lotion is for HANDS, and has coffee oils in it. If you honestly think I'd be smearing that stuff on my junk, you're one sick little puppy... :))
I remember them mentioning 7UP in a tweet, and isn't that one of the things on a slot machine?
Only if the slot machine was licensed from the Dr. Pepper Snapple Group (in the US) or PepsiCo in the rest of the world... It's a soda brand! Some have ornately-styled 7s in them, occasionally with a bar through the 7.

I think that is the V7's. ;) Haha just kidding that is the Fultons Casino for sure (since it says that in the back) But I am thinking that we will be seeing both decks come out tommorow. :-\

I think you've made that point pretty clear
-
Hahaha!! So Dan and Dave posted an ad card from the deck and I zoomed in and I saw a phone number "for reservations". So I called it and some 80 year old chain smoker was talking and said something along the lines of "this is Fulton don't waste my time" haha they're really going all the way with this.
And the address is the m&m and Coke factory out here...
-
I just called the number too! Haha of course it's just a recording but still very cool. I didn't think that even they would go this far to sell a deck!
-
And the address is the m&m and Coke factory out here...
You mean someone near you is making M&Ms and Coke in the same factory? That's gotta be kinda messy, no? :)) Licensing must have been hellish!
-
Haha thats actually just what its called. Its actually a huge museum thing where you can buy millions of m&m's and home of the worlds largest coke bottle, and they have a gigantic rock climbing wall....you know, total vintage Vegas stuff ???
-

Oh, well, we gots us lotsa them there "museum things" out here in New York, 'cept we ain't gots none that has "total vintage Vegas stuff" in it - maybe total vintage Degas stuff, but that's 'bout as close as we gets 'round here...
:)) :)) :)) :)) :)) :)) :)) Why, looky here - yellow M-n-Ms!
-
Haha nice Don! I hope you caught the sarcasm on the vintage Vegas thing ::) we should all plan a trip to the address that they put in the card and visit "ace fultons casino" :t11: and worst comes to worst we can all go on an m&m binge! :D
-
Not one of their best Ace of Spades but it does look similar to the ones from Jerry's Nuggets and other decks from that time.
-
Apparently this deck is only available in a brick with 2 colors and one special black deck, but only $100 and only 250 of them available. An easy $25,000 for them to make.

Too bad they didn't post the single decks until after I was checking out with the brick.
-
Ah, classic Dan and Dave. They did a reverse Smoke-and-Mirrors for the Fulton line, creating two colors PLUS a super-duper rare third color that people will be selling their firstborn male child to get...
They sure do know how to sell cards.
I shouldn't be so hard on them. A lot of what they do really is in response to what their public (i.e. card collectors) ask of them. Would we be having a S&M v7 if it were not for the success of the previous versions? Would there be a new Fulton deck in three colors if the first two, despite some public complaints on handling (Clip Joint) and design deficiencies (Chinatown), didn't sell well enough to justify it?
-
I think these look exactly how I want all my decks too look. I don't know why, but these appeal to me very strongly. I don't know how yet, but I'll try to get these. In one way or another.
-
Not sure, but did anyone see that last picture? The deck is in a clip. Is it new? Do you think it is a clip they will be releasing soon?
-

They are already released Nathan, they are called the vintage clip and is in the classic clip section. I'm not sure if they are sold out yet.
Personally I like the look of these cards but I will save my money for a big order and bundle them with v7. The way they've made this deck out to be is like an old car reborn. Mustang: vintage design but with modern suspension and 450 horsepower at the back wheels and enough torque to tear an elephant to shreds...
I like it. Fultons: Ace Fulton's Casino Playing Cards combine that retro style with a modern stock and finish.
Maybe I was a bit over the top. ;)
-
Is this deck limited?
-
Is this deck limited?
Yes all Dan and Dave decks are limited...
-
The Ace Fulton's Casino deck is SOLD OUT! If I had know theses were going to be sold out so fast, I would have definitely bought more! I guess I'll have to pick some up from a reseller.
Bmpoker, will you be carrying these?

It appears they learned a lesson from the glut of holiday season release decks that are still in their inventory. Make a shorter deck run and it won't lie around as long, plus it will keep customers on their toes for the next release; in this case, Smoke and Mirrors v7.
Who wants to take bets on them finding some "in the back of the warehouse" at some point in the near-to-mid future? :))
-

Yes all Dan and Dave decks are limited...
Not all are limited. But they always stated in the description page if the decks are limited and they did not mentioned that for this deck

No you'll find that they are all limited. They very very rarely reprint decks. I believe the only deck reprinted was the v4's (seal - non seal). Have you ever seen any deck of Dan and Dave's reprinted?
-
Vintage plaid? I don't think it's limited
-
Vintage plaid? I don't think it's limited
They should be, recently Dan and Dave have printed their decks in large quantities, that is why they have not sold out as fast or at all yet compared to other releases. They'll go out of stock sooner or later.
-
My order of the Dealers Brick is still shown as being processed.... >:(
did your bricks get shipped out?
-
My dealer's brick is also still showing as "processing". In fact I ordered a few CJ decks after my "Bucks" were approved and they have already arrived. It says something underneath the main caption about taking longer to process because of the high amount of orders....or some other BS.
-
I got my decks today and I absolutely love them! I'll be reviewing them soon!
There were some very odd things about this deck:
1. The jack of spades is smoking something
2. Every number card has one pip that looks weird
3. The king of spades has one pip that is designed differently and all other court cards have standard pips
4. Every card in the Hearts suit has the pips upside down
5. The corners of the back are weird looking

Those are actually not bad looking when I see those pictures. I might have to pick a couple up
-
My brick has been send out today! :D
Its only been 9 days after ordering those....D&D *sight*.
After seeing the pictures i´m really happy to went for a brick.
Thank you for posting your pictures.

I figured out why there were some odd things about the Ace Fulton's Casino deck! They are "security measures."
Since it is supposed to be a casino deck, this makes sense.

All D&D decks are limited. They make a large print run, and it's done. No more. If they did real reprints, collectors would be out for blood - it would devalue their collections.
Vintage plaid? I don't think it's limited
They're ALL limited. They just have a lot more on hand, meaning they printed too many, demand was lower than expected, or a little of both. But given time, they, too, will run out. Just like this AFC deck did! And before that, the Chinatown deck. Before that, Fantastique.
I got my decks today and I absolutely love them! I'll be reviewing them soon!
4. Every card in the Hearts suit has the pips upside down
OMG, they look like truck nuts! I'm so glad I didn't buy this deck. It's like they're doing things differently just for the sake of doing them differently, not because it looks nice or makes any sense.
I figured out why there were some odd things about the Ace Fulton's Casino deck! They are "security measures."
Since it is supposed to be a casino deck, this makes sense.
SECURITY MEASURES? Are you high? The most basic of all security measures would be to have the "casino" shade of deep red on a white face, not orange on a warm off-white color. They make them that shade so they show up easily on security cameras! These aren't security measures, they're simply design choices - and in my opinion, not very good ones.

I'm glad to hear you agree and are so nice about it, Don.

Touché! No hard feelings - you know I get a little excited now and then... It's time to adjust the meds... :))

sweet i got my midnight fuel today i didnt know it was ivory instead of cambric =D

The box does say ivory finish however the cards are not smooth finish, at least mine aren't, so that ivory finish isn't true.

They've been out of stock for about 3 days now :P or at least according to a tweet from Brad Fulton tweeted three days ago.

haha. Was quite busy the last few days. Finally had time to surf some forum stuff today. These are actually some awesome alternative handling DnD cards that last. Especially in humid weathers. I was lucky enough to receive mine a day before release from Dan himself :)
