The Karma rating option is just a way for others in the community to give you props for help you have given, or just being a nice guy on the forums. There is also a negative rating as well. Anyone can vote on anyone else's karma so don't worry too much about it.

Just a silly little thing we implemented that one day may evolve into a legitimate upvote/downvote system.

Well, Karma has meaning in Buddhism.
It means deed. or in other words, "what you did?"
Either good or bad, will be your Karma, and you will recieve the outcome of those Karma one day.

Humm..so its mean when a people get a (-) karma he/she will get a bad reputation?? :-\

Yes. Maybe you can think as if it is "like" or "dislike" botton, - for this webboard.
