Title: Anglo giant playing cards from Offason
Post by: Billywiz on March 03, 2012, 08:27:52 PM
Hi guys, I didn't see this deck posted anywhere. I was wondering if any of you have the Anglo giants from a Swedish company called Offason? There selling on Lee Ashers site for $29.99 USD, there coated with a special paint called stealth sound :-\ . The deck is inbetween the standard poker size and jumbo cards. I'm just wondering what the handling is like and how the experts feel about this deck.
Thanks in advance.

There's more info about Anglo cards here, in English:

They make some nice gaffed decks as well.

The cards you're thinking of are Anglo Giant.  Instead of the standard poker size of 2.5x3.5", they're double-sized at 3.5x5".  The cards are laid out like ordinary jumbo index decks, but the indices are much larger than on an ordinary jumbo, making them easier for an audience to spot.

I can't speak to their handling, but I've heard they're better than most.

If you were interested in buying them, the Anglo Giant is available from these two retailers - both have an excellent selection of Anglo decks and gaffs.

They're selling the Anglo Giant for $25 a pack, but they're also based in Sweden, so shipping might be prohibitively expensive.

If you search for "offason playing cards" on Google, there's a few links to sites that discuss them.
